I would like to discuss the theory of good and evil, obviously. How can one side with good or evil if they are both just two different forms of the same thing? All that those words consist of are ones actions. So would that define actions as good and evil instead of ones personality? Then wouldn't that make good and evil just ones preferential actions? Thus not making them good or evil, rather simply just a vessel to channel said actions? And in turn destroy the concept of good and evil, and just make it to one disagreeing with another's actions? If that made sense to anyone or someone wants to discuss, please do. :-) |

Good and Evil is really just a matter of different perspectives. I mean, someone could be mass murdering thousands of people, but he could also deem that as doing something good for the future of humanity. We would usually classify someone like that as "evil" or "twisted", cause we'd never ever have nature to do anything like that. Kinda like Hitler. Most of the world viewed him as like the next "anti-christ", but in Germany, alot of people actually thought he was doing something that was good and needed for the country. It's just how your brought up and what environment you're raised in. If you're never taught "right" or "wrong", then you might be pretty much capable of doing anything you see fit in your eyes. |

It's all prespective, though I mean you can say that someone who kills without a reason or for a petty reason is evil because you can't really justify it as being anything else. But then, even if you can justify a killing, the justification is something that's built on personal opinion, so if you kill someone for abusing a child then you might been seen as being good by getting rid of an evil but it's only personal belifes that make that seem okay in a sense. Nothing is really good or evil, it's all based on what people think and how the common opinion of how things should be is taken. |

So was I right to assume there isn't such a thing as good or evil, simply just ones beliefs and actions and how others perceive them? |

Pretty much, you can argue that things are evil but something that's evil in one country might not be in another. So yeah, perseption for most part, I mean there might be somethings that you could say are without a doubt evil but explaining it to be that way would be hard. |

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

Indeed. I used to have a member title that said, "What's good for one is wrong for another, reality is opposite." Or something like that. It's kind of the same situation. |

No "Evil" person has ever thought they were evil. It's a matter of how history writes you. |

History doesn't exaggerate, so to speak. It's the people writing it that do. They are the ones that make a good guy and bad guy. So it's not history, it's only what they put to make one side come out golden. |
