Everybody has a preference in music. I'm sure there are some of you that prefer 80's music more than.. 70's or 2000's. Well, why? What makes a musical era preferable to listen than another.. or better yet, what aspects of every musical era do you perceive.

Personally my favorite music mostly comes from the mid 90's I'll say. It was around the time the Smashing Pumpkins and RHCP were playing hard guitar.. It didn't matter if they werent as talent as guitarists from the 70's sucha as Plant or Hendrix, but they sure did work as hard, and above all put out some good music.

the sound of the 90's to me is like i already mentioned.. Hazey guitar, rap without much beat.. alternative rock to say the least.

I'd say the Swinging 60's were my decade. Around the time of Floyd, early Zeppelin and the Stones. The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. All ruled so much

maybe pop in the mid/late nighties, just cos i loved it haha, like moloko and stuff, what is called 'classic dance' now, umm early/mid 00's stuff like lostprophets, linkin park, snow patrol, stereophonics, travis, blink 182 etc, i liked them all from the beginning.
there are some new artists that i like, Taoi Cruz, onerepublic etc.

really i think i like lots of stuff from mid 90's - now, my biggest, or best time is proberbly around 2003 - 2006 or around there.

Mine would be gangsta rap, and hip-hop. The nineties was the best era.

My favorite music era is the 60's and the 70's... HANDS DOWN!
The music was genuine, artists were making art because they LOVED art, because they wanted to express themselves against the wars, against racism, or simply have something that would distract them from all the bad events ocurring in the world at those times. Most of the 60 and 70's songs actually mean something...
Besides, those were the rock and roll times, when most of the guitar legends appeared and transformed the concept of music.

Nowadays... you listen to some modern music and it yells: "MONEY". Lol it's all so commercial.
