I skipped most of the Buu saga filler, so I didn't learn about him until movie 12. Didn't really grab my attention, but I did kind of skim through the episodes he was in(so I really shouldn't be making judgments).

Google Chrome Favourite Manga DBZ, Full Metal Alchemist	I like him. He looks pretty cool and I use him now and again on BT3 (although I don't really like his moveset that much). There are plenty of characters like him who are cool but are only minor characters such as Nail, Tapion, Raditz. And yeah he does look like Piccolo gone wrong :P

It would have proved an interesting fushion though, I mean I'd imagine Pikon and Goku trained together for a bit after the OWT

Maybe the guide was mistaken or meant to say he fought bad guys. You should write a letter to the Guides Publishers and tell them about the mistake if you'd like.
