Its all the owners fault.

Any breed can be tamed, for some its just a little harder. Its these ignorant people that take a dog into their home and treat them improperly. I do watch Ceaser Milan and he is 100% right. He starts off with Excercise which a dog needs. A walk, first to show who the dominant dog is in the pack and then to tire him out if you plan on leaving the dog alone. Dogs become destructive when theyre bored hence a long walk in the morning and a walk at night. Walks are the best part of a dogs day and people abuse their dogs by avoiding this fact.

People needs to train their dogs and accept the responsibility they brought into their house.

Dogs only attack because the human is an nitwitt. The dog is just doing what it thinks is ok. We should step into the alpha dog position and stop that

completely true, in the past and present i have had several dogs, including a german shepperd, rotweiler and several labradors, all are big animals and potentially dangerous, which is why i put time in to training them, handling them so that they do not have a risk to humans

and i agree with punxx that a pitbull shouldn't be bought as a family pet then completely left to it's own devices, this is part of the problem, when a naiive family buy a potentially dangerous dog and have no clue on disciplining a dog

Corrupt[ed

,Apr 4 2008, 09:20 AM] The only dog to ever get hostile at me was a Golden Retriever

Now theres an example of an owner neglecting its dogs. Golden retrievers and labradors are calm of nature. Very energetic and very gentle WHEN you look after them properly. My lab is an angel only because he knows whos boss, naturally my mothers the alpha dog.

These dogs are smart and are good companions hence using them for search and rescue, hunting dogs, drug sniffers and most importantly guide dogs

Wiki Quote

"The Golden Retriever is harmless in its disposition toward strangers and its owners alike; it is commonly said that a Golden Retriever would lick the hand of a home invader the same as its own master. Its friendly, biddable nature and patient demeanor has also made it one of the most popular family dogs (by registration) in the world today."

This is clear to the case im trying to make. If an owner can corrupt such a gentle dog then it can tame it. We can tame any dog, even the pitbull.

Thats where you're wrong. Its easy to make something angry, you provoke anything for long enough and eventually it will inevitably fight back.

Taming is very very different.

Why would a good owner provoke its dog?

It takes alot to annoy a dog, they are very patient. If you kick a pitbull dont expect it to sit there. But if you do it has good reason to bite your leg off.

A good owner should have control of their dog and be with it at all times unless it is at home.

It all comes back to the owner.
