If you guys don't mind I would like to pin this topic and focus it on a discussion about guitars =] Anything that has to do with it! So I've been playing for almost a year, and I was just wondering, I found my tremelo bar in my desk and I didn't even realize I had it lol, so when I put it in my guitar (ibanez, not sure which exactly), I'm able to push a bit on my guitar, but I'm afraid that if I push it too much something will break, I don't know for some reason there's seems to be some resistance, should I try just pushing it even more? Because its not like its loose, I see these videos where they keep on falling back down, mine is pretty stiff, unless its just because I barely used it. |

It's probably too tight. (Tremelo bars are Whammy bars right? Otherwise this whole post will be useless) Just loosen it. My tremelo/whammy bar on my Shine is quite loose. It keeps it out of the way. What type of Guitar and Gear do you have? I have: Roland Micro Cube amp Shine 10W amp Shine Stratocaster Santa Ana Semi-Acoustic KCC acoustic(Can't remember the name) and my pride and joy: Schechter Blackhawk (Yeah it needed a whole 2 lines to itself) It's honestly the best guitar I've played. Including the Les Paul. The sound is perfect. and the 24 frets make it great to play the really high pitched solo's *coughStruttercough* This guitar is amazing. I'd be surprised if somebody like Slash didn't like it, |

Haha no worries yes it is =) And thnx I knew you would be first to reply here hehe mmmm 2 things though, first about the whammy bar, do you mean just put it in less? because then its harder to push haha and well the whole name thing is still a problem to me ![]() I see people talking about their guitars with these long numbers and im like where do you find that -_- All mine came in was a cardboard box and I dont think anything was printed on it The amp is peavey, should i show a pic of the guitar? I got an acoustic and obviously an electric =) what kind of music do you like playing? When I first started, till now actually, Linkin Park being my fav band I've been playing a lot of their latest album Minutes To Midnight, I think I can cover everything, but I've been getting a lot into Jimi Henrix now, Hey Joe And Purple Haze are so amazing, I like hearing old music because its so different. Also practicing Coldplay songs =) Well, parts/songs I'm practicing now are The solo in In Pieces by Linkin Park, its so fun to play Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix Dust in the wind by Kansas, amazing pattern I'm gonna try The Navy Song and Surrender by Billy Talent, I already fooled around with it but I think its worth finishing Blackbird altho I think I'm fine with it now and others =) |

Well, concerning the whammy bar issue, the tension is a result of the springs inside of your guitar. the more springs you have the higher the tension will be. No need to worry about how hard you can hit the whammy bar, it won't damage your guitar. My current gear: Guitars: Ibanez RG 350EX Alba Acoustic Guitar Amp: Behringer V-Tone ![]() Pedals: Boss MT2 Metal Zone Behringer Hellbaby Wah-Wah ![]() As you can see, my equipment is mainly cheap. I wish I'd just bought quality stuff... byuing cheap crap isn't worth it. I will upgrade soon though, I need a tube amp. |

I want a Line 6 amp stack. Tried it out in store when I was getting my Schecter, and the sound is amazing Nice guitar Jay! although I don't really like Ibanez. |

As I told you, a stack would make sense if you could crank it up fully. Line 6 usually has a very artificial sound. Maybe you should wait and test a few more amps. I will make you a list of what I'd look at. |

Yeah, but Jay, we've talked about pretty much everything about guitars. If I had enough to get a stack, I'd have enough to soundproof my room. In which case I'd do. And rock out all the time btw, what did you do with your old guitars? I know you had some different ones a while ago |

I pretty much sold them all as they were rubbish. My old Squier Showmaster had the worst pickups ever and my Stratocaster copy I had before that was even worse. I am saving for an Epiphone Les Paul Standard, it plays and sounds awesome. |

First, I'm saving for a Acoustic drum kit. So long as it's decent. then I'll be getting a Zakk Wylde Epiphone Bullseye custom. just the White though. Yellow is nasty and Camo is only okay It's so awsome. |

Think so. The Blackhawk is great too. Although maybe not as versitile as the Les Paul. It's best for heavy playing |
