Then that obviously wasn't true love.

Slade's right. It's only "true" love when the love is a mutual feeling between both people.

Now do I believe in true love? Yeah come on family and stuff.

Now if family does not count for this topic then Id say I still believe in it. Just have to work hard for it. Its not something you are going to automatically get

Next person to throw an insult or go way off topic can take a three day suspension. This section is for serious discussion, not attacking people because you don't like the way the act.

Offending posts split and moved from public view, keep it clean guys :/

Who's to say it wasn't?

Tray could of been, maybe not his ex.
If he was ready to give up anything for her, then that's true love, on his side.

That just meant that he was "in love" with her.

The definition of "true love" is TWO PEOPLE WHO ARE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER. If Tray's girlfriend left him, then she obviously didn't love him...thus, it is NOT true love.

Well, she can love him and leave him, ya know, factors come into play, like, if she had to move to New Zealand and didnt want long distance.

But he said, She broke his heart, if it was true love, that wouldn't have happened.

I believe in it. Regardless if takes work to accomplish, the end effect is still true. The reason it seems so unlikely this day in age is because people toss the word around like garbage. Some dude walks down the street sees some chick with her bitties hanging out and he'll be like damn I love her. It's not like that though. Love takes devotion, sincerity, and is on a much higher scale than just physical attraction.

True love exists. It's fake 'lovers' that make it seem unreal.

I also have to agree to that.
Love, not lust. Lust isn't everything to a person.

In a perfect world...

I believe in true love. Even if it is hard to find in this world. This world just seems so screwed up at times that I have to believe there's something like true love to make it worth being in.

I agree that it has to mutual between two people, one person cannot think what they have is true love when they are the only one feeling it, that's just the feeling of being in love. If the other person returns the feeling, then I guess depending on the depth and strength of the feeling then you could call it true love. After all, love is an entirely subjective feeling, and we all feel it differently. What one couple believes is true love isn't going to be the same as what another thinks.
