Writer's Srike Finally Over

Now that the huge writer's strike that struck Hollywood last year is finally over, I'd just like to know everyone's thoughts on the matter.

I have to say it looks like it's been a huge battle. But I'm glad it's ended in the guild's favour. Screenwriters work incredibly hard, and diserve whatever they ask for. People seem to always over-look the writing that goes into a film. Sure the director is what gives the film a unique vision, but it's the writer that gives it structure and a consistant plot.

Every part in a movie is importnant and shouldn't be taken for granted. Espescially the people with the ideas and resources or producing, creating and writing the movies. The writers strike in particular, not sure, I'm just glad its over and at peace

It would have been intresting to see the outcome from what would happen if it lasted a little longer. But now it's over, it seems like that's not going to happen, shame because it would have been intresting.

Why? What would they do? Beat us with their unpublished scripts?

No, it would mean there would be less films.

lmao, Corrupted's right. The strike couldn't possibly go anywhere interesting for the general public. Most people just couldn't wait for it to be over so they could get on with the huge amount of un-finished material such as the seventh season of '24' or the script for 'Transformers 2'

Well it would have been intresting if they got delayed and everything, but the film making industry wouldn't want that.

they'd probably re work some old classic movies with updated graphics and re release them, if they were pushed that far

though i'm glad it's over, and i'm glad that it ended in the writers favour,

true, imo, a movie needs actors, writers, director and filmers, things like special effects, make up, costume design etc are important, but not vital, but the first 4 i listed are
