Death Note was a very good manga imo, good storyline, good characters, good twists. The only thing dissapointing is that it had an incredibly bad ending.

I'm very picky about liking anything, it's not easy for me to call something my favorite never has an anime or manga (when I like an anime I usually read the manga. I discover it as an anime then I want to read it how it was intended to be without fillers I know it should be the other way around heh.) had that honor since DB. Of course Death Note is almost the complete opposite of DB so it's ironic...... Anyway I love Death Note because, it's told from the point of view of an anti-hero Light is the bad guy, you want L (and then Near and sort of Mallow) to win. Like any good anti-hero protagonist however, you do sympathize with Light a lot of the times even it you know his attitude will fail him in the end. I mean he started out with good intentions but how can a power like that not twist anyone. I find Death Note chilling sometimes because there's a bit of Light in all of us.

AMAZING. never before have I been so sucked into a cartoon. It almost never got dull, I cant think of any other movie or cartoon or anything that could have a whole 20 minutes of just talking and still be interesting. (Im referring specifically to when Ray's fiance and Light have that episode long chat).

I always thought L would be the one who defeated Light, but then why Light defeated him, it made me want to read the last few volumes. It's really amazing, how clever it all is
