I think being Homosexual isn't a choice. You're not born with it, but growing up in this world, we see alot of images on television that make it seem okay. For example, there are homosexual and lesbian on Mtv all the time. A small child could see that and believe that being a homosexual is okay.

I don't agree with it. It goes against everything that I believe. I just don't see that many homosexuals around where I live. If there are any, they have probably been beaten up once or twice by now. I don't have anything against the person, but I do have something against the homosexuality. As long as they don't try to make me homo, then I'm okay with them being in my school, or even in work places.

Why? Religious crap? They're just people, segregating homosexual/lesbian people because of what a ****ing book said is almost as bad as segregating blacks because you don't like that their skin is dark.

Try to make you homo?!
Were you even serious when you made this post?!

If you're afraid homosexual people would try to make you go homo, you're really not confident about your sexuality, period.

This post was too homophobic.

And being homosexual is not a choice, it's been proved now. Like Yankees said, if homosexual people had the chance to choose their sexual orientation they would never choose to be homosexual, not in this retarded, homophobic world.

It's inside of you, you feel it, you can't help it. And it is natural because it is love. Love is plain natural.

I am completely fine with homosexuality. I don't like the argument that people make of science and religion are both opposed to it. Science is simply a subject. Sure, people wouldn't reproduce if everyone was homosexual, but what if that was evolution actually working? What if it was time for the human race to die out? That argument doesn't work because science isn't a physical being saying that humans are meant to live. If anything, it supports homosexuality because it might end up making the race die out to make room for something else.

Anyway, I think it's fine. If you were homosexual wouldn't you want to be happy and have the same rights as anyone else? It's only a big deal because people make it a big deal.

Homosexuality, not being a choice, has yet to be proven. There are scientists, who continue to do tests. Some say that homosexuality comes from the environment. I'm not saying that homosexuality is not biological though. There are cases that it could be. However, there are people who turn homosexual or perform homosexual acts because of a certain discrimination against the opposite gender or peer pressure. It is the same for bisexuality. Some decide to experiment with the other gender regardless of whether it's natural or not. For example, there are girls, who decide to sleep with other girls to impress men. As disgusting as that is, it does happen in this world.

The examples you gave Ana, women sleeping with women to impress MEN, are obviously not cases of homosexuality.

People don't choose to be homosexual, they feel attracted to someone of the same gender, that is an inner impulse, not a decision you can make.

women sleeping with other women to impress man, does not mean they are homosexuals, it only means they are stupid.

I still cant see why someone would chose to be homosexual in a world like this. I mean seriously I've heard homosexual people so many times saying.

"I tried so hard to feel attracted to women, sleeping with them etc, but it never works."

Not too long ago we had a guest speaker in class. Her brother died of aids and he was homosexual. To know how he felt he asked his sister: "Imagine yourself with women" and of course since she's straight she had like that thought no way. Then he said
"Well thats how I feel with other women"

Which really explains it all :/

Exactly Yankees.
When people first start realizing they're homosexual, they usually try to feel attracted to someone of the opposite gender. They try to run away from who they are because they know how homophobic this world is. No one wants to live an entire life being discriminated for something that is not their fault.

Exactly. Do you know how hard it is for them to deal with that on their own when they don't tell anyone? It's really hard for them to accept that.

My friend was on the brink of suicide before finally coming out this year. He had been struggling with it for 3 years, scared that people were going to judge and make fun of him for being homosexual. I just don't think people realize how frightening they are at times.

Britain's 'homosexual Lit' experiment
Schools sample controversial homosexual theme for youngsters
March 30, 2007
Children's literature reflects our many modern social trends: single parenthood, divorce, multiculturalism. But there's been a gap in kids' books when it comes to lesbian and homosexual themes. With a U.K. lesbian baby boom underway — and indeed in countries around the world, including Canada — two-mother families have begun to notice something's missing at school. That's what motivated lesbian mother Anna Wilson to get involved with a group of women committed to change.

Goal: reduce homophobic bullying

No Outsiders is the name of a research project funded by Britain's Economic and Social Research Council that shares the same aim. The project is trying to address sexuality equality in primary schools and the researchers are doing this, in part, by introducing literature with homosexual themes to children aged four to 11 at 14 U.K. primary schools.

Link doesnt work so theres a bit, valid scorce...

i suppose this goes along with the brainwashing of again starting at age 4...

ofcorse it wouldn't state to increase the number of homosexuals out right, but undoubtly allowing such deluded brainwashing at the age of 4,just as religion is done, will cause a raise in homosexuals statistically... there have been tons of studies about childern being taught somethign at a young age and it being implamented for their rest of their lifes, not proof enough? relgion, politics so on so forth,so are you going to actully deny that this advervse effect wont have an increase, come on.

again we are talking about confused kids this will just put a thought in the back of their mind "hey mabye i am" when they themselfs dont really know but this little stint could change who they really are.but im not against homosexuals just stating some facts.

Hey, let's not teach people about homosexuality so we can have more homophobics! YEAH! Great idea man.

There are plenty of things against homosexuality, why can't there be things for?

do you know what the definition is for phobia?

apparently not.

homophobia is such a contrived phrase.

as to the answer to your question,is read my statment,im not against homosexuals aslong as they keep to themselfs i dont care what goes on in their lives just as they dont in mine,so i dont go around flaunting i am strait in parades and floats, nor do i even believe in marrage as its not a big deal, but this is another subject,my issue is if you havent got this by now this would be my third time stating the age of which is targeted at of 4 year olds being told stories such as "prince charly went over to prince harrys house.... and they lived together happily ever after" i mean come on 4 year olds, you actully back that??? we are talking preschoolers here, not 16 yr olds. that clearly passes the line, atleast in anybody who has sense of dignity.
