All three of the characters mentioned are regular humans. The animators of the show just didn't feel like giving Krillin a nose. And as for Tien's third eye, I believe I heard somewhere it comes from him "reaching enlightenment" or something like that.

And yes, Yamcha is definitely a regular human. In Dragonball, he starts out as nothing more than a bandit.

in my opinion Tien is definitely a human, like demon said that the eye may have been reached by enlightenment, but there are other theories, krillins dots on his head have something to do with shaolin, and Yamcha is a human with an unusual amount of skill for ki manipulation (for a human)

Because he was trained by Master Roshi, then Korin, then Kami, then King Kai. And he was more powerful than the average human to being with.

The guy had potential to be a strong fighter in the manga but never lived up to it. Loosing in the quarters of the 21st and 22nd budokai to the eventual champs, and also gave Kami somewhat of a hard time with his Spirit Ball in the 23rd quarters. Then gets obliterated by a puny saibaman.

Although by the end of the DBZ anime he was arguably equally in strength to a Super Saiyan thanks in large part to a filler. anyway who gives a ***** filler or no filler chances are, you've probably seen it.

Never lived up to his potential? He's one of the three strongest people in the history of his species (along with Tien and Krillin, ignoring Uub). That's pretty impressive.

So? just because you are so good at something does not mean you can't get better. He was capable of being better than krillin and tien in the manga.

look how easily he got the beats by weaklings like the Saibaman and Dr. Gero.

an example of this would be;
Prior to the coming of the androids Yamcha had the choice to train with Goku, Gohan co. but decided to go train at his own pace.

As we know Goku and Gohan trained harder than Yamcha at the time

If Yamcha took adavantage to that offer he probably would have been a better fighter, breaking his limits at Goku's pace rather than taking it easy at his pace of training.

therefore he had the potential to be a better fighter but did not and eventually gave up fighting in the manga for good.

Punx has got a point, in dragonball i expected him to be one of the strongest throughout the whole series, in the piccolo jr saga he did well against shen (kami), and showed a lot of potential with his chou sokidan move, but after that he never did anything of real significance, unless you count the filler where he beat recoome

yah ultimate, by the fillers you can say he is MORE OR LESS the strength of a Super Saiyan..

In the otherworld Pikkon has Cell on his knees in one or two blows

In otherworld tournement Olibu fights Pikkon

After an EVENLY faught fight, punch for punch Olibu looses due to a ring out

Goku fights Pikkon and rings him out with a Kamehameha

In other world years later Yamcha fights Olibu and some other fighter 2 on 1 and they can't even touch him

Do the math

i don't watch the fillers, by the manga yamcha even at his most powerful couldn't beat frieza, i was just using recoome as an example
if your following dbz from the anime then yamcha lived up to his potential, fighting olibu, getting close enough to cell in the cell games to help gohan etc

i've watched the fillers but i rarely use anime as a referrence, it's been ages since i watched it the whole way through, normally i just pick a good fight or episode and watch that, but i read the manga a lot
