Corrupt[ed

,Jan 20 2008, 09:47 AM] It's the best of DBGT but the worst of all the DB related movies.

Agreed.

People will say: "But there are no main characters, no fighting, no..." - seriously, GT fights all sucked and another worthless foe who ends up being blown up by a Spirit bomb wouldn't make a good movie at all.

This movie had a nice, nostalgic atmosphere and I must say this is the first time that GT manages to capture that Dragonball atmosphere. It was interesting to see that Goku Jr. isn't a valiant hero at his young age already but just a crybaby. A welcome change.
Also, as strange as it sounds, it was kind of an interesting concept having none of the Z fighters in the movie (except Pan and Goku for a couple of seconds). It's like they were all gone a long time ago and now only legends of them remain, threatening to be forgotten. Seeing Goku's home in the end of the movie (Granpa Gohan's hut) and those yellow fields made me feel a bit nostalgic and as strange as this will sound, the GT music actually fits in here.

To conclude - an OK movie, possibly better than even the DBZ movies IMO, yet it still doesn't go near the quality of the series.

I like this argument.... way more than I like the movie. :P

Yeah... it was a snooze and a half to me. Maybe a Vegeta Jr. movie would've been better.
the saiyan prince will not fall again!

I haven't seen it, but it doesn't look good.

The gun that won that old Wild West

I saw it a (very) long time ago. I barley remember any of it, and back then I guess I was just fine with it. I do remember crying at the end though, seeing Goku for the last time, LOL!

But looking back I don't like the character clones. Why would Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. inherit practically the same personalities from their respective ancestors? They should of mixed it up a bit and made Vegeta Jr. the hero with the pure heart and Goku Jr. the arrogant jerk that Vegeta and Vegeta Jr. are.

The whole idea of having Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. is unoriginal as it is, but giving them the same personalities as the original Goku and Vegeta makes it even worse.

P.S. - I was thinking about it and Vegeta isn't even the original Vegeta taking King Vegeta in consideration. Technically that would make Vegeta a Vegeta Jr. too.

I didn't think it was that bad. I liked seeing that there were still some fighters left after most of the Z-Fighters died.

I had heroes legacy on my computer for awhile, i watched it, but none of the stuff they were saying or doing added up. Pan was super powerful but couldnt hit SSj? but her own great grandson has a hidden power for full on Ssj? gtfo wts!! it almost seemed like he was channeling ancient spirits to take over than having a hidden power, goku jr kept losing his memory. He was also a scared little punk that put up with bullies. just didnt seem right. None of it did. But it did signify the end of an era with AT though. Basically it was 100 years later after the baby incident, no mention of any of the other stuff. The biggest mystery of course was goku himself who seemd to have gotten older again, but was acting like a ghost. If the saiyan life span thing is real, then i guess he either: merged with shenron after all, or really did get 1000 years from old kai. Either way, DBO keeps making it seem like vegeta and goku had one last battle, so either vegeta lived a very long time, or goku didnt, either way AT has messed a few things up with the facts in continuity.
