Chiaotzu VS Yajirobe

This is Yajirobe after he trained with Kami, and Chiaotzu before the same training.

I know the obvious answer would be Yajirobe, since after training with Kami they all got stronger than Kami himself. But Yajirobe can't fly and has limited techniques, since he cannot throw ki blasts and never really showed much fighting abilities without using a sword either, couldn't Chiaotzu fly high and just burn Yajirobe with a few Dodon-pa? Wouldn't that be effective?
And even if Yajirobe was fast enough to come close to Chiaotzu before Chiaotzu got the chance to fly, couldn't Chiaotzu paralyze him with his psychic powers and kill him like he tried to do against Krillin during the world tournament?

It's all open to debate now, let's see what you guys have to say.

Lol I prefer Yajirobe over Chiaotzu, but Chiaotzu would win this match. He has the ability to use psychic powers and fly. IF he stuns Yajirobe, I highly doubt the match would last long. If the match was simply hand to hand combat, I think Yajirobe would win. Conversely, there are no handicaps, therefore, Chiaotzu would be victorious because he has some tricks up his sleeve.

chiaotzu hes much stronger than yajrobe

Please state your reasons for supporting that opinion, you can't just say he's stronger.

BTW, I also think that Chiaotzu would win. Yajirobe just can't fly nor has any long range attack. In close combat, maybe, but considering the fact that we haven't actually seen him move fast in any way, ever, I'm not sure about that either.

Chaozu can manipulate ki well, giving him the ability to fly using the buku jutsu technique, but he isn't intelligent, and has little ability in hand to hand martial arts, though Yajirobe on the whole is lazy, by this time he has a higher powerlevel, he's smarter than Chaozu,he defeated one of piccolo's servants, cymbal without effort, is an accomplished swordsman, and though he can't fly he can jump high, so overall i give this match to Yajirobe

I don't know why so many people underestimate Chaozu so much. In Db, he gave krillin a very close fight and tormented him with his dodon ray attack. I would say Krillin had only a slight edge over him at this stage which was evident in the hand to hand fight. In saiyan saga, Nappa's scouter read 6 power levels(= 6 Z fighters) above 1000 and chaozu was one of them, not yajirobe who didn't even take the training at Kamis place seriously. That power reading speaks volumes about his fighting ability; he was basically in the same league(although weakest) as some other Z fighters(except Piccolo) who were also in 1000's. And after that, chaozu even goes on to train with king kai and continues the training with Tien(strong sparring partner) even after he is revived.

this was before the training with kami, where chaozus powerlevel would be around a hundred and yajirobes over a thousand, it's not my intention to underrate chiaotzu, i understand he's a far more dedicated and accomplished fighter than yajirobe, but i can't see him beating Yajirobe with a power level difference of that much

All of King Piccolo's henchmen were around the same power level.

Tambourine killed Krilin with one kick, and Krillin beat Chiaotzu in the tournament. Yajirobe cut Cymbal in half and ate his *****.

So I believe Yajirobe must've been stronger at that point. At points in between, both recieved training from Korin. I doubt that Chiaotzu passed up Yajirobe in between, especially given the way Tao wrecked him. If Yajirobe gets his Kami training and Chiaotzu doesn't, then Chiaotzu would have been the same strength as he was when he got rocked by Tao at the tournament. His power level was still in the 100 range at that point.

Even though Chiaotzu has a much better grip on his ki manipulation, I still think post-Kami Yajirobe would rock him.

Chiaotzu would win. But also you have to think strategy. Yaijrobe is big and is fairly tough. Where as Chiaotzu is small and the Ki blast is really the only advantage he has. But this is where flight comes in. Yaijrobe can't jump really high or fly to hit Chiaotzu. So he is useless, so Chiaotzu has easy victory by blasting him repeatedly, re-charging himself and repeating the process.

After training with Kami , Yajirobe is not 1000. Nappas scouter read 6 power levels over 1000 - Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha and Chaozu - Yajirobe was not amongst them. He hardly trains and his power level would not have changed much. He pretty much remained the same he was before the training. He didn't learn anything new either. If he hardly became stronger then how can one say that he is stronger than Chaozu(prior to Kami) ? Chaozu was much stronger than Yajirobe prior to Kamis training as well. The fact that he made it to the quarter finals Yajirobe never learned to control his ki, so he cannot fly and/or learn any technique which will always put him at disadvantage no matter how skilled he is with a katana. Chaozu would beat him simply because of his superior techniques like ability to fly, ability to paralyze opponents through mental powers, dodon-pa etc.

And all of King Piccolo's minions are not the same power. Drum is the strongest for example because Piccolo created him in his prime. Drum bludgeoned Tienshinhan until Goku came. Tambourine would be the second strongest. Cymbal is extremely weak in comparison with Tambourine and Piano is the weakest of all the minions , so weak that he is killed by Piccolo Daimao's crushing weight when Goku kicks Piccolo into him. So Krillin basically lost to second strongest of Piccolos henchmen while Yajirobe beat a weaker minion.Yajirobe didn't have an easy time beating Cymbal either. He dodged Yajirobe's attack and followed up with a 3 hit combo on Yajirobe. Yajirobe managed to land 1 hit, before Cymbal starting firing energy attacks at Yajirobe which he had to put effort into dodging. Goku even offered to help. Yajirobe ended up getting close enough to slice Cymbal in half, killing him.King Piccolo himself told Tambourine "you're several times stronger than Cymbal". Also its interesting to note that Chaozu was not much behind Krillin at this stage as I pointed out earlier. Their fighting powers were very close with Krillin having a slight edge over Chaozu.

Goku was stronger than Tambourine. We can all agree with that, right?

And Tambourine kills Krillin with a single kick (and it was a swift kick, probably not even close to full power). Krillin beat Chiaotzu, so we can assume that Tambourine was much stronger than Chiaotzu.

When Goku and Yajirobe fight over the fish, Goku says he kicked Yajirobe "as hard as he could". Yajirobe is sent flying and crashes into some rocks, but he gets up. If Goku, after eating and at full power, couldn't kill Yajirobe with one blow but was stronger than Tambourine, we can assume that Yajirobe was stronger than Krillin (who was killed easily by Tambourine). By virtue of being more powerful than Krillin, he also must have been stronger than Chiaotzu.

If Yajirobe gets the Kami training and Chiaotzu doesn't, it wouldn't even be close.

In episode 14, on Kami’s lookout, Kami is saying good-bye to his trainees he wishes them good luck in the upcoming battle to save Earth. This is what he exactly says : " Gentlemen, Mr Popo and I are pleased with your progress. Time has come for you to go back to earth. The future of earth is in your hands. May you fight with Honor". Btw, even this episode Yajirobe can be seen fooling around. Not once does kami say that they have surpassed him in strength or makes any insinuations towards that. Yes, he does appreciate all the warriors saying that they have made progress but most likely he's addressing Yamcha, Tien, Chaozu and Krillin as Yajirobe stayed on the sidelines throughout the training. Kami doesn't think of Yajirobe highly and it was even when the Z warriors arrived, he had some good things to say about every warrior but when it came to Yajirobe..He only said "You can be useful to us too". Yajirobe is still weak as he hasn't learnt any ki control and can't even fire a standard blast of ki whereas chaozu was capable of powerful ki attacks way back in DB. Hell, Yajirobe is not able to manipulate his ki even at the end of DBZ. Master roshi can manipulate ki at 139 so what makes you think yajirobe is over 1000 and still can't do it. This actually proves that his power level is extremely low like some of the contestants in DB Budokais who only relied on martial arts and nothing else. As I said before, Chaozu will win simply because of superior abilities and techniques. Skill and Technique matter a lot and it has been proven many times on DBZ. How can Yajirobe dodge Dodon ray even when Krillin had difficulty against it ? What if chaozu uses solar flare and subsequently attacks Yajirobe.. Even if all of that fails, what if chaozu uses his mental powers to paralyze Yajirobe ?
Chaozu has too many options whereas Yajirobe can only rely on his skills with the sword.

And Drum is stronger than Tambourine only for 2 reasons -

1. Drum was created by the rejuvenated King Piccolo while Tambourine was created by the old Piccolo. This is also the reason stated on Dragonball wiki to prove Drum's superior strength.

2. The most important reason, imo.

Goku and Tien started off with same power levels..180 as stated in daizenshu. Goku(180) rested with a full stomach gives Tambourine tremendous beating and vapourises him with a kame ha meha wave. But Tien(180) who is even with Goku at this power level is clobbered by Drum. Piccolo remarks If goku had taken on drum had he not taken the divine water, he would have been defeated just as badly. Tien and Goku were the same during 22nd budokai and the period after that. Even in 23rd Budokai, their power levels are extremely close with goku having only a slight edge. Goku was able to defeat drum only after taking the divine water and his power level increases to 260 after this as stated in daizenshu. Goku can vaporize Tambourine at power level 180 but will get bludgeoned by Drum at 180.

So obviously,

Goku(260)>Drum>Goku(180) = Tien(180) > Tambourine

Kami stated "you have surpassed me all", yajirobe also states "can i take this weighted shirt off now"
this was in the dragonball z manga, volume 2, page 104 in mine

good logic on drum by the way, you changed my opinion lol, your right, drum is the strongest henchmen, but i still think yajirobe has got this,
