It truly was a Shawshank redemption

Will Smith is one of my favourite actors, probably my favourite, and I haven't seen a film of his that I don't like. I Am Legend was brilliant, as was Will Smith's acting in it, and I really enjoyed this film. It had a lot to think about in it, but also some thrilling parts and action parts etc. I want to read the book but I've never gotten round to it.

Rampaging Explosion of Euphoric Glory!

I loved it, but at the same time, it ended kinda sad, not showing you what happens, but just kinda forshadowing it instead. It gave a whole new deffinition to what a zombie can do, even though they weren't really undead, but I think it heavily influenced "Left 4 Dead" since that games got a similar type of feel to it's zombies. It did give me nightmares too, which is really rare for movies to do to me. I give it a 8/10

Meh ive got mixed feelings on the film. Ive read the book and i feel that the final message, 'I am Legend' really upholds itself better in the novel.
First half was great, Will Smith really did have a strong on-screen presence that kept you captivated and gave you that sense of how his character was thinking and coping with being the only survivor of an epidemic.

The bit with the dog running into the dark , chasing the deer and his reaction is great. The fear he exudes and the tension comes off the screen into your heart. When he shines the light on the zombie things and they are hunched over in a circle and bobbing up and down was alarming.

It got crappy though near the end when you actually saw the zombies, i couldnt take them seriously, it was like being scared by a cartoon, why they didnt they just use human actors? Guess it was because so many zombie movies hav been done and they wanted something different, yeah it is different just not good.
Ive seen harder scarier zombies in other movies than this so they didnt have any impact on me once i saw the first baldie. :p

Its alrite though and has its moments.
I do wonder though why they didnt make it more like the book? Not exactly but they could have used more elements that could have produced a better movie, they only they seemed to take was Smiths characters lonelieness and not being around people for years, how estranged he becomes.

Ally to good. Nightmare to you.

I love that movie. Mostly because I love Will Smith but I felt the first part of the movie was fantastic. And Sam just reminded me of my dog which bummed me out when her part came. :(
