Posts: 11,612 Group: Legend Member #88 Joined: January 16, 2005	That is the symbol that we see Goku wear during his time on Namek. He receives this uniform from King Kai after his training with him. The symbol translates to the word Go which means you understand / enlightenment / discern.

He did train under Goku and Piccolo but that isn't Piccolo's symbol and that is Goku's shirt so...It IS Goku's symbol

Posts: 1 Group: New Member Member #8,428 Joined: October 14, 2012	im not sure what his symbol says on the back of his shirt when he arrives on Namek but the only thing I can think of to why it changes is because while he is training on his way to Namek, he destroys his shirt. (as usual always losing his shirt) and he comments on the fact that there are replacement clothes already on the ship

He was in hospital for a long time. Is it possible he had those shirts before DBZ but still mainly wore the Turtle Hermit one? IIRC Roshi said at the 23rd Tournament that they are no longer his students and can wear what they choose. I know he wore the Turtle symbol at the tournament but is it possible he sometimes wore that other symbol but we never saw him? Maybe it was from his training with Kami. After all it is supposed to mean enlightenment and he seems to become enlightened after that training because he stops killing enemies.
