I am a huge New York Giants' fan, and I am heart broken today. What can I say? I am so passionate about them. We had a chance to clinch a playoff spot and to rest our injured players, but we lost against the Redskins. I decided to post because it would help me release some of the stress I feel. Lol, the Giants lost my favorite football player Jeremy Shockey; he broke his fibula and is out for the season. I cried for like an hour after the game was over. At the beginning of the season, we had a strong offense and a mediocre defense. Our defense has stepped up, but now our offense is struggling. I am not sure who to blame and it frustrates me. It seems the whole offense is to blame and not just Eli Manning and the Offensive coordinator. There were so many dropped balls today regardless of what the weather was. I even witnessed a great wide receiver such as Amani Toomer drop an easy ball. Jacobs had 126 rushing hards, but he dropped 8 balls! There was a moment where they tried a rookie named Bradshaw. He did so good! I don't understand why they didn't continue to use him along with Jacobs. Although Jacobs is a strong running back, he doesn't do well on screen passes like Bradshaw had done on two plays. It's upsetting and stressful because we are right at the finish line to making the playoffs. We still have an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot. Next week we play the Buffalo Bills, which I am confident we can beat. However, they are not a team that the Giants can underestimate. I have faith that the Giants can win, but I am nervous about it. The offense has to step it up. This thought is what worries me because they have struggled the past three games! What upsets me the most is the after math. If we make the playoffs, we are not going to have the firepower to compete against teams such as the Colts or the Patriots. We have a lot of rookies filling in, and I hope that they can add some fire to this Giants team. I truly hope they can.
