(Updated 16/02/2008)

Welcome to Super Saiyan 3's portfolio, also known as the Training Capsule. This is a place where all my gfx I've created so far go. I am not too great at the time of writing this, I hope one day I can look back and laugh.

Started making graphics: November 4th, 2007

A History Lesson

Made using GIMP
Description: This is my very first signature. I have only just joined this forum and I noticed almost everyone had one, so I learned how to render, use layers etc. and made this sig. I knew it wasn't the best, but I remember thinking it was at least *good*. Obviously, it's not, but to my untrained eye back then, it was.

Made using GIMP
Description: After reading a tutorial, I came up with this. I think I made it only a day after making my first sig. Everyone said I turned a bad quality render into something nice. I still think it's a pretty much OK for a standard, n00by signature.

Description: This signature was a request from UltimateYamcha. Made it using the same tutorial as in the sig #2, thought I could use some practice. UY was very happy to get his first signature, he said I was his hero lol. Also, maybe you can notice the hand-drawn Master Roshi's emblem in the center.

Made using GIMP
Description: Made this sig after watching the Super #17 saga. The render was better this time, and I did some experimenting with the colors on my own after reading a few tuts. Comments were something along the line of - frantic, psycho looking sig; also, the border didn't impress too many people, but I was just trying out different stuff.

Description: Another request I've completed - this time from Super Vegeta. I like the background, but as you can see, my rendering skills weren't too good then. Still, he said it was awesome.

Made using GIMP
Description: I called this sig - Going All Out! Wanted something good this time, something that I'll stick to on this forum (lasted a week I think). This time I had used "advanced" techniques like smudging (which I didn't quite get right), and C4D effects. Naturally, I slapped on about 5 large C4Ds and put most of the layers on Screen, resulting in high contrast. Still, I think the colors of the C4Ds were okay, and Corrupt[ed] said he wanted to see this in the HoF if I had a better text lol.

Description: I guess I was just messing around with this one. It's a Master Roshi tribute - therefore I made it all colorfull and hippie. The image in the background was rendered from some old DB episode SS I think, so it's not exactly high quality. I could have done better with the text. An average quality sig, I'd say, pretty standard.

Description: Fulfilled request for Meh. Now this is one sig I like very much - I think I did some good work on the background (made from scratch using the Flame filter in GIMP) and the render; the dodged sparks and the smudged render blends well, I reckon.

Description: My tribute to Planescape: Torment, a great RPG game and a true piece of art. I liked the smudging on it, but I'd noticed it was a bit too big.

Description: Made this for AZ forums. Inspired by BBQ's girly sigs, I wanted one as well, just to know what it feels like to be a princess. I very much like the background on this one, I made it using a great GIMP tutorial.

Description: Probably the last sig I'll make in GIMP since I've switched to PS after this one. I needed a change when I'd become a feedback moderator, so I made a blue one to match the color of my username. Everyone said it was simple, but effective - even DF, and that's saying something lol.

Made using Photoshop CS3
Description: This sig was made using HustLa's Hitman tut, I entered it in the SOTW competition. Made some pretty rookie mistakes like not blending the render well and the text wasn't too good either, but all in all I think it was pretty good for a first PS signature. I barely knew the basics of PS at that time lol.

Description: My 2nd sig made in Photoshop. That is Jon Irenicus from Baldur's Gate 2. I have improved compared to the first sig, the blending is better IMO. Comments were mostly not too good, they were something along the line of "sig not flowing" and "don't really like the background".

Made using Photoshop CS3
Description: I've made this signature after watching the "Troy" with Brad Pitt once again. God I wish I looked that great :'(. The comments: not so good on the smudging and the background behind Achilles (Brad), but good effects on the left. I could've seen my mistakes when it was finished, but admittedly, I haven't put so much work into the background and the smudging as much as getting the C4Ds right. Made using .Revolution's tutorial.

Description: Made this after watching the "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", which I loved - an extraordinary anime indeed. So is Mikuru: "Mi...Mi...Mikuru Beam!"

Description: One of my favorite sigs (thus far). Started off as just playing around with the image, then I rendered it, then started making a sig, one thing went after another and here it is. I got some positive feedback.
