1. What was Piccolo's power level before his fusion with Nail ? Is it that he was less powerful than Vegeta at that moment and became stronger after fusion ? From what I've read on Net - 100,000 or 400,000. Now, Im sure 100,000 is totally false as even Tien was more powerful[he beat jiece and burter with ease using splitform] than that. And Nail was 40,000 according to these sites so how is it that Piccolo(400,000) and Nail(40,000) merged and became a much stronger being( >1,000,000) ?? 2. Vegetas power level. He was 18000 before he went to earth. After that when he goes to namek it is suggested that it is around 24000. Kinda hard to believe considering that he had a fierce battle with goku and he was nearly beaten to death. Is it possible that he was suppressing some power then ? May be it was around 30000-40000. Then he fights Kui, Dodoria, Zarbon twice, I would assume that his power level must have gone up to atleast 50000-90000 if not more. Fights with Kui and Dodoria were merely skirmishes but both the fights with Zarbon were quite intense. Then what really is the power level of ginyu force members ? I remember jiece saying that Ginyu is 120,000. One would assume that Burter, Recoome, Jiece have a power level significantly lower than this. Anyway, after Vegeta is healed he still fights against jiece and later a small skirmish against Captain Ginyu. He then sleeps for a while and regains strength. So what was his real power level all along ? Power levels suggested on some websites are ridiculous..they suggest that vegeta went from 30000 to 300,000 after recoome fight. If his power level went up 10 times in that fight then why didn't a similar phenomenon happen after his fight with goku ? 3. Tiens power level during his fight with Cell. How powerful was he ? I have seen figures as low as 500,000 and even 50,000! |

You never actually find out Piccolo's power level after he arrives on Namek from King Kais....the power levels your read after that are fake. You also never find out Nails power level, in fact that LAST powerlevel you hear is Gokus while he fights Ginyu which is 180,000 Vegetas power level was 18000 on earth and then 24000 when he got to namek.....yes a saiyans power level rises after each fight but not by a freaking huge amount, come on, if it worked like that then the saiyans would quickly grow stronger than Frieza in no time. Id say as power level rise of 6000 is damn good considering thta fight on earth. Again the power levels you find online ARE fAKE, the power levels of the Ginyu force, apart from captain ginyu are never mentioned You never find out vegetas power level after 24000, stop asking And you never find out Tiens in the cell saga either, god damn....im sick of these damn power level threads.....look at Tien, he hit Cell with his Tri beam atleast 20 times in the anime, im guessing the manga its only a few times but either way, It didnt even harm cell at all, as soon as Tien fainting, Cell climbed out of that damn hole in the ground unharmed, all Tien did was hold him off. |

Why are you getting angry dude ? Im new to this forum and I don't know if this question has been asked before. And if you don't want answer my question, you are free to skip it. I did not force you to read my post and answer it. I did not ask you in particular. But hey, don't dare tell me what I should ask and I shouldn't; I didn't ask something that was offensive in nature. |

like said only a few power levels were mentioned in the anime, so all these power level guides are estimates of what people think they are. some power levels can be estimated fairly close like in the friza saga. eg fighter a is revealed as 5000 and fighter b is 20000, player c kills player a and then is killed by player b. from this you know player c's power lv is between 5000 and 20000(assumeing the fight was fair and luck wasn't involved) so judging on how one sided the fights are you can esitimate what power level they are. however after the frieza sega i don't beleive any more power lvs are revealed so you can only assume and estimate roughly. eg. between the frieza sega and the android seag fighter a increased by 200000. from these guesses you can estimate what other people are, as some hints are given. These include fights(if they are on sided one is obvious more powerful than the other) and the fighters state things like "i have never senced such a powerful energy". anyway you can make your own estimates or take other peoples estimates, but there is only a few 'official' power levels. meh. |

Piccolo's PL is assumed to be around 10,000 when he arrives on Namek. Nail gives him an increase past 1,000,000. May sound absurd but it's not. |

Piccolo's power is never stated. Nail does make a comment on what kind of training Piccolo must have went through, but to say Piccolo even got as high as Nail (stated at 42,000) in six days worth of training from Kaio-sama on Kaio-sama's planet...that's just a bit of an extreme to go on in one of those situations.
Nope. He had fully uncorked his ki when the scouter stopped at 24,000.
Vegeta reaching even 40,000 before his fight with Reacoom is incorrect. Considering Vegeta used every bit of ki he had in a barrage of attacks using both ki and physical assaults, and Reacoom being stated to not be hurt in the least...No. The gap in power would be far too close. Jheese, Butta and Reacoom were all lower than 60,000, stated by Ginyu.
Well, he did manage to keep Freeza at a standstill, Freeza whose power level is stated to be 530,000 at full. Estimation? About 490,000.
Because, after Freeza stated his power level was 530,000 in his first state alone, how esle can you have a good fight if the opponents aren't nearly around the other's strength?
Eh...I wouldn't dare cross an estimation line past the Freeza arc. |

I dont recall Frieza to ever state his power to be 530,000, he only ever says his fighting power is above 1 million. Vegeta being at 40,000 may be close, after all, it was 24,000 when Zarbon kicked his ***** so we have to assume Zarbon to be atleast 30-33,000 in power, when Vegeta recovered he easily dominated Zarbon, so his power must be somewhere between 35,40,000 Also, I highly doubt Vegeta rose from 40,000 to 490,000 after one fight. He didnt keep Frieza at a stand still, all the did was hold onto his arms for a few minutes and powered up, as did Frieza, after that you don't see Vegeta lay a hand on Frieza, he had no chance. |

Where does it state or imply that Piccolo trained only for 6 days ? I thought he was meditating/training all along. But may be I missed this bit. To say that Piccolo is lower than 42,000 would actually be an extreme. That puts him even behind Krillin and Gohan ( After power ups by guru + Senzu healing). Even if he combined with Nail, his power level would never reach an astounding figure of 1,000,000 +. Also Z fighters( Tien, Yamcha & Chaoutsu) taking on Ginyu force and Piccolo arriving on Namek happened more or less at the same time with only a few days gap probably. All this while Z fighters aren't training rigrously anyway; They are more interested in outcome of things on Namek. During the same time, Tien beats both Burter and Jiece. Both of them had power levels of atleast 50000 prior to dying. One would assume that it must have gone up as well. Which means tien had a power level in the range 100,000(min) - 200,000(max) to beat them. Considering that Piccolo was more powerful (also a Namek is stronger than Human being) than Tien even on earth, its easy to see that he was between 200,000 -400,000 at least(even taking gap into consideration)
Then his power only increased by 6000 after being beaten to near death ? Thats pretty low for a saiyan. Vegeta had learnt to hide his power level so one can't really make a proper estimate.
I think there are lot of inconsistencies. Honestly speaking its laughable. All this while, Vegeta is beaten twice to near death(Goku,Zarbon) apart from having a number of other fights and his power only goes up from 18000 - 35-40,000 ?? Mind you he was also involved in skirmishes on planet Arilia. But then after Recoome fight, its ridiculous how his power goes from 35-40,000 to 490,000..thats more than a 10 time increase even though the fight with goku was more intense than fight with recoome which lasted only for few minutes.. |

please don't double post, try to use the edit button okay? first, if you want to get a realistic idea of their powerlevels forget about yamcha,tien,chiaozu beating the ginyu force, that's impossible, and another thing i doubt that Piccolo was more than 44,000, he hadn't been on kamis for long, and he wasn't exactly training hard just meditating, about vegetas powerlevel going from 18,000 to 34,000 i would say is probably correct, it did double his powerlevel which is a quite a lot in a short amount |

thats the reason why i made this thread..i wasnt merely trying to speculate power levels i was also pointing out the obvious flaws and discrepancies..the power levels stated in the show are not consistent at all.. Freezas power level is actually 530,000 in base state if we believe toriyama. These PL's you see on a lot of websites, they came from either theDaizenshyus(Dragon Ball encycopedia) or the Manga. This means that a lot of things they state is fact, not opinions or guesses because they came from Toriyama himself. Why do you think almost every website comes up with the figure of 530,000 ?? But personally this is how it could have happened in my opinion - Vegeta prior to leaving for earth - 18,000 Vegeta after fight with Arilians, Goku, Gohan, Krillin etc - 40,000 ( He was probably hiding some more power when fighting kui so as to deceive freeza and his minions) Vegeta after fights with Namekians, kui, Dodoria - 45,000 Vegeta after 1st fight with Zarbon - 70,000 (Zarbon was 23000 in his untransformed state, its plausible that his PL went up by at least 3 times by transforming. He was also a trusted aide of freeza which makes me believe that he was quite powerful) Vegeta after 2nd fight with Zarbon - 75,000 (All of Ginyus warriors were around 80, 000 with exception of Guldo who was probably 10,000) Vegeta after fight with Recoome and after senzu healing - 200,000 Vegeta after fight with Jiece and skirmish with Ginyu - 240,000 Vegeta after he wakes up from his sleep and recovers fully - 300,000 ( As you said all he could do was hold onto his arms for a few minutes) I know this looks weird but this how I think it should have been. The power levels stated by toriyama are totally inconsistent and don't make any sense at all. Infact all this power crap ruined teh show when they basically killed some good characters like Tien, Yamcha, Piccolo..
@Ultimate yamcha What are you talking about ? Tien, Yamcha & Chaotsou did beat Ginyu force on King Kais planet. It was in the same episode when Goku attacks Freeza with spirit bomb. Piccolo was only meditating because he was too powerful for the initial tasks that King Kai had assigned them to do and he could do them with ease. Thats why he refused to do it. They didn't show the part where the actual training started but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. And Nameks can unlock a lot of power by simply meditating. Infact, their power is gained mostly through meditation and concentration. They focus their strength, and search within themselves to find the depths of their power, and try from there to enhance it. Actually, this is what lead to the "super namek" concept in first place. About vegetas power level - It just doesn't make any sense to think that his PL only doubled after intense fights with Goku and Zarbon while assuming that his PL increased 10 fold after a relatively small fight with Recoome at the same time..Besides PL increase of 2 times for a saiyan in such a huge period of time(more than a year actually) is not much. Even the Human fighters could increase power levels by 5 times within a year by merely training whereas Vegeta went through some serious battles which got him nearly killed and he was also healed by senzu beans. |

Im done with this topic, the reason evey site states 530,000 is cause they use a little function called COPY and then another one called PASTE. One website had it, another DBZ fan site appeared and so on. Put it this way, If a saiyans power is to rise by these huge amounts that you're stating, that 6000 PL rise is low.....then why, after vegeta is atleast in his mid 20's in DBZ...why is his power level only 18,000 in the saiyan saga? Surely during his life his power level would have rose alot more than that by your logic. And btw, Yamcha is right, the reason its impossible for Tien etc to have fought the Ginyu force on King Kais planet is because IT NEVER HAPPENED That never happened in the mange, it was thrown in as an episode merely as filler, nothing more, you can't use that episode as a guide. |
