Piccolo can handle a Cell Jr. Can a Base Saiyan do that? I doubt that , son. The anime shows Piccolo handling a Cell Jr, not the manga. Manga wise , Piccolo seems to hold a little bit. Not as Vegeta and Trunks of course. Only Vegeta and Trunks fight on par. Cell doesn't care if the Cell Jr's kill the humans and Piccolo. Piccolo is still alive. Conclusion: Cell Jr's are toying, and feats are unreliable. Plus it's one freaking panel where Piccolo's standing up. That's not a big deal. How do you think Base Saiyans Buu arc could stand against a Cell Jr then?

Google Chrome Favourite Manga DRAGON BALL Z!	i dont mean to bump this thread, but i think vegito has this with lots of ease. i'm not sure about "base vegito> ssj3 gogeta" but i think gogeta & vegito have similiar power especially in ssj mode but vegito has the upperhand. ssj3 gogeta would be stronger than base vegito by a lot in my opinion. the rival boost gained from the earrings "makes the fusion more complete" like old kai stated so vegito STOMPS! gogeta plus gogeta only has 30 mins to do his best so i'm going with vegito.
