Having resolved the planet-destroying-dillema, not really.

He has trained in space for a long time, he has trained in hyperbolic time chamber for a *year* straight where he has found a way to become a fully powered Super Saiyan. The powerlevel gap is nothing more than expected.

But the increasing in power level is just so substancial, and it's pretty much now that other characters like Piccolo start to become obselete. And I loved Piccolo, and still do. But I mean Goku's power just keeps going and going.
