Isn't it a bit strange how, even though training in space and the hyperbolic time chamber Goku goes from, I believe, not having enough power to destroy a planet in the Frieza saga to when he fights Cell, Cell says that Goku's Kamehameha could potentially destroy the earth. Bit of a massive power gap, or is that just me?

What makes you thing he can't destroy a planet as a Super Saiyan in the Frieza saga? He was stronger than Frieza back then, for whom we know all too well that he can destroy a planet.

I know he was stronger, I suppose I don't have any real evidence other than his spirit Bomb which he made didn't destroy the planet and that was filled with universal power and Frieza couldn't stop it, as he said "Can't stop it, too powerful." I suppose I just can't see Goku doing it, maybe that's influencing my decision.

Why would he want to destroy a planet?

Yeah the spirit bomb was powerful but I'm sure Frieza, having tried to fight that blast, took more damage then the planet did.

Even Vegeta in the Saiyan saga could destroy planets, it even showed him do it in one episode, so, I'm guessing Goku can.

Yo

You don't need a high powerlevel to destroy a planet, this is an example plus it's filler but i don't care, Vegeta destroys that bug planet on the way to earth when his powerlevel isn't that big, 16,ooo? or around that, and he did it without much effort so a person witha powerlevel with 16,000 or lower could probably blow up a planet

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

F.I.L.L.E.R.

Never happened!

Freeza in his normal form destroyed Planet Vegeta with a single blast. Goku in SSj was stronger than FINAL FORM 100% FULL POWER Freeza. Quite the difference!

It depends on the blast, blast size, chi used, etc. if Goku had tossed that Genki Dama at Namek the planet would be gone.

Filler or not who cares.

Sure you're going from the manga, but the majority of dragonballz fans go from what they've seen in the show cause they haven't and/or been bothered to buy all the manga cause it costs money.

So while you may be right on the manga side of things, i think aloit of people here, including myself go by what they've seen on the episodes

Eh, it can be in an easy online booklet form sort of like Naruto Manga Returns. I only have like 21 DBZ Manga's so I need to find a source to read the rest online.

You see how long it's been since I watched the earlier Z episodes, I didn't even remember Vegeta blowing up Arlia! Anyways, the powerlevel gap is still massive though, you gotta admitt
