Gohan's Hidden Power

Mozilla Firefox 5.0 Favourite Manga Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou	What's the secret of Gohan's hidden power? He obviously has it, deep deep under and it's released so many times starting with the Goku's and Piccolo's fight with Raditz, then the Namek Guru also realeases his hidden potential, and finally the Old Kai makes him a Mystic Saiyan. So why does Gohan have this power? Being a half-saiyan is an argument that doesn't work anymore (I think it's been brought up somewhere in the beginning of DBZ) because we see Goten and Trunks who are also half-saiyans but they don't have that much hidden power. Also, do you think he could still be hiding more power? Or maybe every Saiyan (or maybe only the stronger ones like Goku and Vegeta) could be turned Mystic just by performing the ritual by Old Kai?

Vegeta refers to these as super Saiyans (not the blond hair, green eyed Super Saiyans). Nappa even semi suggests that they should start mating with humans to rebuild the saiyan race but they both dismiss this and decide that this should never happen.

The Last Dark Saiyan Posts: 46 Group: Member Member #2,864 Joined: November 14, 2007	Well, he was never officially called a Mystic Saiyan, since most media has him labelled as Ultimate Gohan...fans like us named him Mystic. As for the power, I think it may have something to do with Goku, since his power seemed limitless at one point...and don't forget that Chi-Chi is a competent fighter too, not just a short-tempered home-maker. As for the ritual, Elder Kai can unlock anyone's power, but Gohan was a special case, taking longer than usual for his power to be realised.

Posts: 68 Group: Member Member #2,218 Joined: March 29, 2007	It's not hidden power. Its potential. And it's bigger cause he is an hybrid so he's born naturally stronger than the average sayan/human. I also think that both Goten and Trunks had as much(maybe even more cause of being conceived by stronger parents) potential when they reached the age Gohan had when the Elder Kai performed the ritual. It makes sense that the older you are, the bigger your potential would is so if the ritual was made on Gohan a few years later maybe he would have been even stronger. Also, the ritual would work on anyone. Just would have different results depending on the person's maximum potential by that time.
