Whenever there is an opportunity to win it is rarely taken {(mainly in the buu saga) in a later reference of the buu saga goku admits he probably could've beaten fat buu when he was SSJ3 but thought he would leave it up to his children to save the world and yet he ends up doing it anyway.} this goes hand in hand with the fact that they play with their opponents too much and don't try kill them sooner. {(in buu saga VEGETTO, GOHAN, GOKU f-ed up). (there was allot less of this at the start of the Namek saga, which is where I like Vegeta the most because even when he does play with his opponents he does kill them soon enough) You'd think they'd actually learn something but instead, they all continue to make the same stupid mistake the person before them did.} Characters who are ultra weak but have telekinetic powers enabling them to render fighters considerably more powerful than them helpless. When the evil characters use jokes and puns. When those who are about to fight stand around talking for 30minutes before they do, then occasionally take intermission to discuss other random yet irrelevant facts that ultimately have no importance. Someone having a Flashback where things that person wouldnt have seen are viewed anyway. (aren't many references of this but it does get me) |

Well, I actually think this has it's place in the series. It would be boring if the only opponents were those physically strong enough to match the Z fighters. You wouldn't really be able to perceive the magnitude of their strength. While characters like Captain Ginyu or that little green guy from the Ginyu force (forgot his name) can spice it up and get you worried. |

I see where you're coming from. An example in mind that 'really' got me was when Gohan and Krillin were fighting Goldo from the Ginyu force, they finally had this awesome new power and then all of a sudden they don't even get to finish this tool bag off. All of a sudden they're at his mercy and that's one example that really steams me up. A part of my hatred for it has to do with the frustration of conflict the story is portraying, and another part has to do with the fact that they usually take their sweet ***** time while say they immobilize the good guy. Fat Buus usage of his special power to transform people into candy was not used against the first of the Z characters who attempted to beat him, only later did he try it considerably against kid Buu. I would've felt more content about it if he was more consistent with his special abilities (regardless as to how ridiculous i thought they were). An example of this would be if he were to have attempted to turn the following main characters who attempted to fight him into candy - vegeta, gohan, goku and gotenks. But then again you could assume Fat Buu was not hungry or that he wanted to fight for a while. But ultimately it felt inconsistent. I will however agree that the special powers factor is a good one and in combat does spice things up, if I could rephrase that sentence I would say I dislike the way the writers portray the conflict around the special abilities in combat. Good call though! |

I see your point. As much as we'd like to neglect that fact because of the many good sides DBZ has, it's still a japanese anime. And they all tend to be childish, retarted and inconsistent in some aspects :p. |

The Last Dark Saiyan

Well...first off, the green guy's name is Guldo, not Goldo...also, it was a special technique he used called Time Freeze, coupled with his telekinetic abilities that caused problems for Gohan and Krillin on Namek...until Vegeta cut his head off. I think with Fat Buu, he never took anything too seriously until someone he liked got hurt, so he never considered anyone a big enough threat to have to turn them into candy. And Gohan becoming a scholar? think about it for a moment...his mother pushed him to be a scholar his entire life, so he probably did it to make Chi-Chi happy. As far as the other characters becoming useless is concerned, by the time the Androids came around, they were completely outclassed, which is shown when Android #20 (Dr. Gero) punches a hole in Yamcha's stomach. Though they trained, they weren't able to keep up with Picollo and the Saiyains/Half-Saiyans. But the one thing that really annoyed me about the show was...Yajirobe. In the start, he was a pretty funny guy, and would step in when it got rough (like when he cut off Vegeta's tail, or sliced through his armor to save Gohan)...but later, he never does anything but grow a tacky mustache and stay with Korin all the time...he never draws his sword after Vegeta leaves Earth to recover. |

Some of the above I agree about disagreeing, buit I don't have time to explain. Some of the fillers are crap! Oh come on, they just waste your time with no action. Telling Saiyan History in Episode 20 kind of wrecks the story, really. |

I've watched the whole series, and quite a few of them are pointless. Besides the story line, the action-packed battles are the things that make me love the series more. I wish there were more of those. |

I think this has been discussed lot of times before and I wanted to say this myself for a long time - Dragonball Z is a good show but I hate the way they treated some of the good warriors like Tienshinhan, Piccolo, Yamucha and Chaoutsu. Piccolo was able to hold his own against others for quite some time but even then he was nothing more than a minion in the later episodes ( After Cell saga). He was the wisest considering that others like Vegeta were merely braggarts. His Special Beam Cannon attack was more powerful than Kame ha meha which is quite evident in the episode where Raditz blocks Kame ha meha with quite ease and the power levels on his scouter would suggest the same(1080 KHM vs 1330/1470 SBC) And Tienshinhan was just as powerful as Goku after Dragonball ended; He lost against Goku in that battle because he had become overconfident. He could have killed Nappa with his one hand kikoho had Nappa not seen him. Imagine the effect and power the attack would have if he was not weared out and did it with two hands instead. We also see him take on Jeice and Burter at the same time on kais planet which makes me bellieve that he was quite stronger (probably stronger than vegeta after he took the senzu beans). He goes on to train one more year on kais planet and trains constantly whereas others fool around. But nonetheless, no one can deny that he was probably the most talented warrior on that show with some of the greatest techniques which other warriors copied and used in times of desperation( Goku against Vegeta, Krillin against Dodoria and freeza). Later on he just becomes a sidekick in the show barring one or two occasions. Yamcha was also quite decent and quick learner as earlier episodes of DB suggest. He was awesome in the Pendulum room with his spirit ball attack. He had a power of super saiyan (though it was supresse d because of his fear of death) as he beat olibu in the battle. I think it was quite powerful, not the mos powerful but good enough considering that he had a few original techniques whereas goku learnt all his techniques from others. Many people also belittle Chaoutsu and call him weak. But mind you, he was more powerful than krillin in DB. Krillin was helpless against his Dodon Pa. Krillin was able to beat him with guise and not power. I think it was brave of him to take on Nappa with the suicide attack. |

Oh my, where to begin. 1.Well, I hate the fact that everytime there's a new transformation it takes them like 3 whole episodes to do it. (Like going super Saijin for the first time Ect.) 2. I dislike how Chichi bosses around Goku and always has a problem with EVERYTHING. I mean, Chichi knew Goku wasn't normal when she met him, why the hell did she marry him if everything was gonna be a problem. I know her yelling at him is soppose to be for humor and all that, but come on, it gets old. 3. I don't like how it almost always Goku that wins all the fights and everyone counts on him. I don't like how the Earth is like the center of the universe. (Thats why I was so happy when Buu blew it up. Mwahahah!) 4. I don't like how kid Gohan ends up beating the crap out of these guys that are soppose to be unstopable whenever he throws a little tantrum. 5. There needs to be more Saijins too, including female Saijins. 6. I don't like how Vegita always seems singled out. Hehe damn, after all this complaining, it's a wonder how I even like the series. But I kid you not, I love this show...Oh and...7. There needs to be more Brolly in the anime too. ^^ |
