Things you don't like in Dragonball Z

The title says it all. We're all big fans of DBZ and we know it, but there must be some things that tick you off. I'll start.

1) Overuse of Kamehameha (I mean, does *every* big fight have to end with one?)

2) Certain boring parts like the episodes with Gohan's teacher Mr.Shoo, or Goku and Piccolo's driving lessons...

3) And here's one I'm sure everyone hates - you know when someone throws a real big blast at a villain and the audience (usually Krillin, Trunks, Vegeta, Gohan...) starts shouting "All right! He did it, he couldn't have survived that!" even when the foes are formidable and have proven their strength before in battle. Even when it's bloody obvious one Kamehameha of moderate power won't do the trick, they simply can't keep their mouth shut until the cloud of dust dissapears. Sheesh  .

Next please ;)

I would have to say...the fact that most characters stopped doing anything i.e. Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, ect. they just stood around and gasped alot after the freiza saga

Hahaha true. But that doesn't bother me that much.

Super Vegeta pointed out what annoys me the most on DBZ. Some really good characters just lose all of their action too fast. I wish we had seen more of Tien, he was such a focused and great warrior.
Of course, I also wanted more action from 18. It still gets on my nerves that she became a housewife on DBGT, but oh well, let's not even go there.

Another thing I didn't like in DBZ was a bit of an exaggerated use of sexuality on some characters like Bulma and Maron (Krillin's ex).

The point about characters being left behind which pineapple and 18 pointed out, but one thing that annoyed me was how chibi trunks and goten became super saiyan really easily, i know theres a theory bout their dads being stronger or suming but i don't really care, also super saiyan 4? it sort of made a mockery of the first super saiyan level, 3s enough but 4 was too far in my opinion

p.s i loved the driving lesson episdoe, come on piccolo driving a car! what's not to like

Quite the opposite here, I must say :p . Mmmm, Maron... *drools*

Oh and I just wanted to point out one thing - this thread is about Dragonball Z (and maybe Dragonball), not GT. Otherwise, it would just turn into a DBGT flaming session ;).

And "That's unreal...", "That's incredible...", "It can't be..." etc. But nothing ticks me off more that those famous dust clouds I've mentioned... *to himself: every, single, time...*

As much as I hate to say this I don't think they were exaggerated... believe it or not there are girls like them out there. Nothing saying majority, I'm just saying there is, not being sexist or anything.

Goten and Trunks going super saiyan did not bother me at all, In a way it kind of makes sense, ever seen those alien movies, where they say that a human with an aline, will create an even stronger offspring? Well same concept here.

Only thing that I would complain about is very small mistakes they did...

1.At the end of the frieza saga, Vegeta fights Gohan on earth then takes off, next episode is there with them again.

2.Buu saga one episode they get to the hideout, the next episode they are back to the place they had begun.

But oh well they won't bother me that much since I lie to myself in my head and make a scenario on how they got there again :p

Lol don't worry, you're not being sexist. I know there are A LOT of girls like that, I've met a few. Maybe it's because I am a girl myself, but I don't find it enjoyable to see a woman in DBZ always getting explored in a sexual way. Maron was just a pain, on most of her scenes whenever she appeared you'd always get to see her boobs first and then her face, that is why I find it exaggerated.
Videl and 18 are some of the sexiest women in DBZ and they weren't explored that way. That's the way I like it, their charm is natural, not necessarialy sexual.

1) Every time Chi-Chi, Bulma, Pan, or Marron makes an appearance. Nothing against females in the show, I mean, Android 18 is one of the coolest characters in the show, but the four I listed are worthless dip*****s that don't add anything to the show.

2) Regeneration *****es me off. I mean, what's the point in going through the difficulty of cutting somebody in half, or ripping their head off, if they can just bring it back? Why didn't Goku just skip to the Spirit Bomb in the first place and beat Buu then?

3) "Stand-offs", like when two characters just sit there for a minute before fighting. I realize they had to do that in DBZ, but still, they got ridiculous sometimes.

Goku and Vegeta like to Dance <3

One of the little things that annoys the crap out of me would have to be every time a new villain appears or Goku reaches a new level, one of the Z fighters exclaims, "I've neer felt anything like it!" or "I've never felt anything so powerful." And it happens all the bloody time!

I hated the way Gohan ended up at the end of the show. I know that its important to his character to be knowledged, but that was just pathetic.

I was really annoyed by the way the characters LOOKED at the end of the show also. SHeessh. and that's all I've got to say about that.

It felt like, by the end of the show, the entire atmostphere of DBZ changed. The mood and tone were severely altered, as if it was already being transformed into GT.

I share your dissapointment. They could've made Gohan look smart and cool, they could've made Vegeta look good with mustache...but they haven't :( . Instead, they just look dorkier than ever, even we who saw all their fights find it hard to see through their crappy style.

That's so right! It got so annoying at times!
I mean, after a long time fighting all types of villains they should have understood that there would always appear an even stronger fighter, but they always acted like it was the surprise of their lives instead.

And Gohan... yeah, I agree with both of you even though I've never really been into Gohan. He grew up fighting, even don't liking it that's what he did. He has been through a lot of hard times and he has achieved so much and evolved a lot, there was no logical reason for making him end up as a second version of Einstein. :p
