What does the " Z " stand for in DBZ?

But for us it's Ul;timate Gohan, i think it means the Secret Ability within Gohan and the story of Gohan because , Dragonball:Goku Dragonball z:Gohan Dragonball gt:Pan, so yeah i think that's what it means, ask Tyro
	- I don't know how to paint black skies blue.

Yeah thats what I thought too, the Z-firghters as they always call them lol Edit: But I think z-fighters and Z-warriors came from the Z in DBZ which still leaves out what the japanese word means lol
