Okay here's my latest debate. Basically the thing is. People such as King Kai and the Supreme Kai are supposed to be higher beings in that they were sent to heaven and train people to become stronger, or find people that can help them with their causes. But honestly, if King Kai is such a great fighter or trainer, why can't he have fought off Vegeta in the saiyan saga? Why is it that only Goku can come back a million times and not someone like King Kai who actually knows something. Oh and before you say, King Kai is too fat to fight Vegeta, Yajirobe did it.. slightly... and Master Roshi has freakin huge muscles even tho he's an old dude so... Are the Kai's good or bad at serving their purpose and why don't they fight? |

Uoh, this is a good subject to debate, Viddy. The Kais had a lot of strenght when comparing to most of the beings in the universe, as Supreme Kai said they could beat up someone like Frieza with one finger. The thing is, they didn't show much capacity of evolving their skills, and eventually they had the Z fighters to help, so their mission started to be more of just guarding the locals they were up for, just to guarantee they were in peace. And that was something they probably did with no problem until bigger villains started to appear. After that, their existence seems to be more in the line of the sacred. They have a really big importance in the universe and some special abilities like being able to watch what's going on in the locals they're guarding, or being able to do the instant transmission (even though that was not an exclusive of them). They are also the owners of the potara earrings, which give them the capacity of doing the ultimate type of fusion. And the reason why King Kai didn't fight against the saiyans was because he knew he wouldn't be able to defeat them, and because he had a bunch of other planets to look up for, I don't think he could just forget about them and come to Earth to fight. Oh, and Yajirobe stepped in to fight Vegeta because he was starting to see a desperate situation, but his intention was not to fight during the whole battle, he was actually in that place for an accident, if my memory serves me right lol. |

Well then why didn't the Supreme Kai see the damn threat and whoop Frieza's ***** without anyone having to do anything?

Supreme Kai is one of my favorite characters. Maybe he didn't come down to help them because he knew there wasn't that great of a threat and his trust was in Goku and the other Z Fighters

Because for 1,000 years there was no SSj, and probably no Freeza either. And at least for a while there was no Boo. The Kaio-shins probably were the greatest beings in the universe. And then when Boo came only one Kaio-shin survived. But he says that had Freeza been around they could have killed him in a blow (I think that was canonically said, anyway). And when Goku came about he brought the Cyborgs/Androids/Cell, and kind of revived Majin Boo, etc. It wasn't their fault they became weak. |

No kidding. Maybe at one point they were the greatest, but still, they know a bunch of techniques that they can't use to become stronger, even as a master. Look at Goku. He trained for a little time and mastered the Kaio-Ken, and now he's even better than King Kai's version of it. |
