He's like my favorite character. I think he has a major crush on Tien and doesn't want to tell him. Lol, I know pretty disgusting. He is also very weak.

Chioutzu always confused me. I wasn't sure what he was. I did like him though because he was small and had telekenetic type powers. However, he began to disappear as dragonball and dbz progressed. He even lost to tao pai pai which I thought was bad. He wasn't much of a z fighter in dbz. Tien told him to stay behind most of the time. Their friendship was weird to me so I don't want to go there.

Lol he is awesome to use in tenkaichi 2 though! 8)

No offense to the Chioutzu fans but seriously WHY?!
He was hardly ever in DBZ, when he was he was either being beaten *****less by people or shouting "MISTER TIIIEEEN". In one case he did both.
I think they might have even decided to boot him out of the program by making him stay at Master Roshi's while Tien went with the others to find androids and things. They just cut down his viewing time >_<

Lol It's not Chioutzu, it's Chiaotzu.
And Chiaotzu is an awesome character to me, I think some people already know that I like him a lot, and I have some reasons.
First of all, his relationship with Tien sure is a bit weird because we don't really know where it came from and what exactly happened when they met. But Tien treats him like a little brother, like someone to care and protect. And I don't really see the problem you're trying to put in, I think that's nice and kind of lovely actually.

Now on Chiaotzu himself. He's obviously one of the weakest Z Fighters, I liked his first appearances, when he came out alongside Tien, he was the first character we saw using the flying technique (except for dinosaurs and other flying animals, but that's not the same thing), which I totally love, I love the idea of flying and that was a great addition to the concept of fighting in DBZ. I also like how he does not show any facial expression when he's fighting, and of course his telekenetic powers. I've always liked very small characters that have a bit of a mysterious side and some different techniques to use, and that's what Chiaotzu is all about.

He does not have any big relevance in DBZ, probably because they thought there was nothing more to add to the character, except that he can also cook ahah. But that's not a problem to me, it doesn't take his funny little figure away from him. And even though he is most of times scared of fighting the bad guys, he's always done it and he had some really brave acts, especially when Tien was in danger.

And if you think well, he passed all his life training with Tien, he even managed to face some villains and he got stronger than some of the great masters in the world of DBZ, like master Roshi, Kami Sama and even Kaioh. At the end he could even defeat fighters like Guldo and Raditz, and I know they were not much compared to all the other big villains, but that's definitely something for Chiaotzu's thin little white butt. 8)

I used to hate him until I recently started watching DB and saw him in the Tienshinhan Saga. After that, I gained a TON of respect for him. He was able to use the Dodon Wave, fly, and burned that one guy to the point where he had to wear bandages all over his body. Not only that, but he has telekenetic powers and a satanic little laugh when he's torturing Krillin in the fight. He's like a little demon doll or something.

Anyways, he's not a bad character necessarily, but he does fade out quite a bit throughout DBZ. He should've been able to easily beat Mercenary Tao though, seeing as Tien beat him without any problems at all and he's probably at least 20% as strong as Tien. Tao looked like he didn't break a sweat fighting Chiaotzu, but Tien didn't break a sweat beating Tao. Couldn't Chiaotzu have used telekenetic powers against Tao and won? It just doesn't make sense. But that's off-topic. :p Anyways, like I said, I gained a lot of respect for him after watching the Tienshinhan Saga.

That's just wrong dood.

I think Chiaotzu is a pretty cool character. I mean, you've got to give the weaker characters in DBZ a shot some times. Sure he can't turn Super Saiyan and blow up an entire planet with the point of a finger, but he does have some cool techniques and his loyalty is very impressive. I just think he should have been shown more. His best scenes were in the TienShinHan saga of Dragonball, against Nappa when he made the ultimate sacrifice for a friend, and against the Ginyu Force. He should have been given more to do, but he was just tossed aside after the Freiza saga. Like Hotprichichi said, he is a great character to play as in Tenkaichi 2. He's fun to control. lol

He was only in the spotlight two times in my opinion. The first would be when he gave Kuririn a decent fight at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai. Using his Dodonpa many a time while hovering in the air, and even going a step further and showing us our first ever "Super Dodonpa." The second time would be where he tried to save Tenshinhan from Nappa, only to have died for nothing. But the way he let his feelings for Ten, his best lifelong friend hangout, priceless.

That's actually not true. He fought Guldo in Kaioh's planet. I guess that's what Warheart was talking about.
