If you're looking for some base place to start, it's fantastic. But as for perfect info...not so much.

No site has perfect info, that's the whole reason for sourcing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound

Seems accurate to me.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex

Yeah, I'd say so, though it doesn't cite sources.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_forum

I think we can pritty much agree for most of the information there.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxygen

Feel free to say that isn't pritty accurtate.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion

And again, looks pritty accurate.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ea_games

Not so accurate as it is marked with "The neutrality of this article is disputed." but I'm sure information from it is still decent.

Notice how I picked a selection of articles, all at random. Most had reliable information on them and when there is a problem, the article is tagged as such.

It seems to me that everything on Wikipedia is pretty acurate. I don't believe I have come across anything that I know for a fact that it is not true. However, it couldn't hurt if you used Google instead...

Wiki is not a good source. It shows only half or not enough of the information.

This is exactly why using wikipedia is a risk......because there are 1000's of pathetic wierdos out there trying to vandalise and alter pages.

Ive seen acts of vandalism on wikipedia that have been there for months.....

Agreed, most of it is accurate......but there is ALWAYS a risk.

Then umm, like check the history of the article, compare the current version to a previous one and if it has been vandalised, report it or revert it. I have reverted vandalised articles before.

Also, they put the protection there to stop people doing it again, which is a good mesure.

Protection isn't enough for the most determined crimanal. you know that as a fact.

Ummm, if it's protected, you can't edit the page, there's no way around that without getting into an account of somone who can...
And I would hardly call a vandal a "determined crimanal"...

BBQ....lol i totally get and understand what you're saying....

But by deffinition.....even with all the measures you have listed....wikipedia cannot be regarded as a 100% accurate information source.

And at Degree level......that 0.5% degree of uncertainty isnt worth it.
