Posts: 1,159 Group: Member Member #1,945 Joined: November 29, 2006	The theory is that no "single" body can attain SSJ3 since it is such a strain. Goku only learnt it because he died.....in otherworld the strain is less, so he was able to not only learn it, but use it. Since he was brought back to life having learnt it already, he was able to use it in the real world, but not for very long. Gotenks was able to use it because he had the collective energy of both Goten and Trunks. Also Vegeta wasnt able to learn SSJ3 once he had died fighting Buu since he wasnt granted the priviledge of keeping his body once he died. EDIT: Actually now I think about it, that last point might not be accurate... I seem to remember King Emna boasting that he let Vegeta keep his body because he could see him being sent back to Earth to fight Buu in the future... ...Could be wrong

IMO the answer is because Vegeta was a lot weaker than Goku during that time. He was astounded that Goku could reach such a high level; high enough to fight perfect Cell using a certain percentage of his power. IMO Vegeta only slightly mastered the SSj state. Going by aura output and the size of the muscles.

But yeah, Goku was able to learn it in the otherworld and Gotenks has the energy of 2 people. Besides, Goku won't be able to use it for long.

Vegeta was nowhere near the power level of an SSJ3...2)Is because you need to have a calm mind.(stated by Goku). Vegeta is a *****ed off angry ignorant douche who will never have a calm mind. Somewhat like the requirements of the Numbus Cloud

Vegeta can do it, but unlike Goku he didn't have 7 years in an after life full of oppenents and formidable fighters helping him train. He also had the surroundings like no other. He could meditate properly. Vegeta didn't have anyone strong enough to fight him. He was always at Capsule Corp, which probably wasn't the best place for meditation. Signifcant differnce in the 7 years that pasted and why Vegeta's trnasformation didn't occur.
