MGS is one of my all time favourite series of game......i dont like to think about how much time ive wasted playing them  ....

I have to admit i prefered MGS, to MGS2.....I think the Shadow Moses story was vastly superior, and call it a cliche....but i wanted to control Snake :(

But when i heard that in Snake Eater (before it came out), that you wouldnt be controlling Solid Snake for a second time.....i was not best pleased.....

But now having completed Snake Eater a million times on every difficulty settings (i am the daddy on MGS :p )....i have to say i prefer the Big Boss Character.

Hes no longer simply "the bad guy"......you understand all his motivations.

Anyway, i love the game so much, i could write loads and loads more, but ultimately i prefer Big Boss now....

Its a shame that Hideo Kojima has confirmed that you DEFFINATELY control Solid Snake in the "Guns of the Patriots"

Training hard !!

In my opinion, metal gear solid twin snakes was the best one in the series.
And to answer your title question, i prefer Solid Snake.
(Hope he lives on past MGS4 :( ).
-Training is bliss-

-The Stamina Sessions-
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious

I loved each of the Metal Gear games, the only one I haven't played as of yet is Twin Snakes. I didn't like Raiden nearly as much as Snake, but Big Boss made up for that. I think Snake Eater would have to be my favorite of the series. The boss fights were fun and the story was just as good as the playstation's first MGS.

Big Boss is the better hero than Solid Snake in my opinion. He had to go through a lot of emotional pain in MGS3. He had one heck of an awesome story which Solid Snake is yet to have.

I know what you mean.....but Solid Snakes story is pretty emotional too. The whole franchise is pretty emotional.

I prefer Big Boss because he seems like more of a soldier..... he has less technology to back him up.

Being alone in the jungle for weeks just seems more heroic in a way.

Plus like i said......before Snake Eater came out, everyone just thought of Big Boss as another generic bad guy. There seemed to be no reason for him turning his back on the USA.....im really glad that Hideo went back and gave him much more depth.

When i first saw the trailer for Guns of the Patriots, i thought "SWEET you get to control Big Boss again! Hes really old, and not dead in the slightest".....

It seemed to make sense that Hideo made a game explaining about Big Boss's past, if he was going to make a game about him in the future.

But no :( .....its confirmed that the character is Solid Snake.

Oh well......maybe this game will make me think more about Solid.
