Piccolo Jr. is much better.

And him as a mentor is a really good twist to the old, mystic bearded man found in most stories. He had the best story out of the others, with Kame and he being one. Unfortunately he changes alot as the series goes on and I don't know why. Did anyone else notice the significant voice change he had in the Freeza arc? I know it was still Chis, but I was just wondering

Chrome	He changed because he got more attached to the other Z fighters, mainly Gohan and Goku. He was a good side character and I enjoy his bursts of importance, like when he fuses with Nail and then when he fights Cell after fusing with Kame.

He helped gohan alot in so many situations Loved his wardrobe too. I didn't like how his power became insignificant later on though

And I think that the whole "Kame fusion" thing was all hyped up, and then it was just chucked out the window as if it were nothing - a bit like Gohan's "unleashed" powers (mystic ... <_<) which really disappointed me and I would have much preferred it if Gohan beat Buu. But of course, Piccolo couldn't kill Cell - that wouldn't make for an interesting story :P

DBZ wouldn't be DBZ if Piccolo wasn't there, and if that was the case, Gohan would have died, since Piccolo saved his a$$ a number of times.
