Piccolo was a victim of the linear story in DBZ..... Ie....Bad guy comes - No one can beat him - Good guys get stronger - Bad Guy loses..... Now i love DBZ, but if they changed the structure of the stories slightly then Picollo wouldnt of had to be shoved into the background. Picollo is one of my favourite characters, but the sad fact is the emphasis of the show is purely focused on the Saiyans. Afterall they have the unique ability of just getting stronger and stronger; while humans and namekians have a limit. The powerlevels in GT are just silly.....if it takes a power level of 300 to destroy a planet, then SSJ4 Gogeta should be able to destroy half the known universe.....it is literally, just silly... Picollo is just one of the many characters that simply couldnt keep up. This is exactly why i prefer early DBZ....the fighting is still incredible, but its not "silly"..... |

I would have rather have Piccolo stay evil then had turned good. He would have made a ill villian. |

Out of all of the characters in the dbz universe, Piccolo is my 3rd favorite with Goku and Gohan taking the first and second potitions. He was awesome from the very beginning. I didn't much care for him in dragonball but it was nice to get even more information on him and the final battle in dragonball between him and Goku was awesome. Piccolo was a skilled fighter and he had a great deal of wisdom. Most of this came from being a part of Kami, but regardless, he was still a cool guy. He helped out as one of the major characters in my opinion. In the Saiyan Saga it was as a mentor to Gohan, In the Freiza Saga it was against one of Freiza's forms, In the Cell Saga it was vs. 17, Imperfect Cell, and the Cell Jr.s, in the Majin Buu Saga again as more of a mentor. Personally, if I were a character in the dbz world, I'd love to have him as a mentor. Sure he was strict, but he was more caring than he would have liked to admit. Like most have said, he was pushed aside in GT. Only Goku stood a chance that series and that's why most people don't like it. Everyone's favorite character becomes useless. So unless Goku is your favorite like he is for me, than you don't have much in GT to like. I would have loved to have seen Piccolo fight a dragon. But no, they kill him off when the Earth explodes. Other than his lack of apperance in GT, I loved Piccolo and he should have had more to do from the Buu Saga and on into GT. |

I perfer Piccolo during dragonball to that of Draonball Z. Don't get me wrong, he's awesome in Dragonball Z, and at one point stronger than the 3 current SSJ's. But I personally loved him in Dragonball, more so as Piccolo Daimou, and not Jr. Piccolo Daimou was an awesome character and gave such a twist on the Dragonball manga. Up until that point, it was all about humor with some fighting. No one really died until that point. Then pow! Daimou shows up! Krillen, Roshi, Chaotzu and many others die almost instantly. He was an awesome character and should of been in it longer. He's my second fave enemy after Vegeta. |

Piccolo wasn't much in Dragon Ball, I personaly think he fits in with DBZ a lot better. I mean Piccolo didn't look so cool in Dragon Ball. Its kinda weird how he becomes good all of a sudden in DragonnBallZ. He did look kinda cool in DragonBall though, But i just didn't think it was a cool way to end DragonBall with Piccolo geting defeated, i mean that's not much of an ending for DragonBall. I think its cool how he can regenerate his arm's and stuff. Still Piccolo's pretty cool in both DragonBall and DragonBallZ! |

I definitely prefer Piccolo in DBZ than anything else. I pretty much love Piccolo no matter what. He makes a great villain and hero. What I liked about Piccolo is in the beginning when he began to stray away from the villain category he was still kind of hard to trust. I guess the fact that him and Goku were such competitive rivals/enemies at one point there's always that rivalry sitting on the table. That factor makes him and his relationships with the other characters more interesting in my opinion (even though that history gets shoved under the rug the longer the series ran). |

Piccolo is overall one of my Fav Characters in the whole of DB, DBZ, He is one of the main stories that are told. With his finding out he is an alien... and his conflict with his other half Kame, Fighting with Goku his arch enemy. Then meeting Gokus brother Raditz and seeing this whole new level of power. Training Gokus son....becoming his best friend and a father figure. His death And how he was brought back to his home world once more.. He is the "Knowledgeable" one in the series the very wise one.. The most genius fighter in all of DB DBZ sitting and meditating by waterfalls creating new tecqunics always.. keeping up with the saiyans just about until the end of the cell saga.. Piccolo is an Awesome Character. |

Piccolo was awesome. He wasn't beating the sh*t out of every villain like Goku was, but his wisdom still played a big part in the series. Piccolo taught Gohan, Goten, and Trunks. All of which had many shining moments fighting in the series. He also has a very interesting character being that he's one half of the former Piccolo in Dragon Ball, and Kami is the other half. I was always interested in Piccolo's character even when he wasn't there, because of how well executed Piccolo was. Just proves that you don't have to be fighting in DBZ to be significant and entertain. Best Piccolo moments were when he fused with Kami, and when he decides to try and attack Cell because he realizes Gohan taught him what it meant to have a friend. |

piccolo's definitely one of my fav's, i liked the part in the saiyan saga where he sacrificed himself for gohan as that was the part where he ultimately became a good guy |

Piccolo is great and probably my favourite DBZ character. Nameks are probably the coolest looking characters, but I think they should be able to get more powerful than they are allowed on the show. However, Piccolo is still pretty powerful - you wouldn't mess with him would ya:P. |
