It really wouldn't make any diffrence in my point of view, since some people might have liked it, to me GT seemed more diolog based then the others, which made it very diffrent in that way.
I dunno, I kind of liked GT more then DBZ to be honest.

I wasn't a big fan of GT.

The characters sucked as well as the battles.

I mean the only saga in GT i really enjoyed was the Baby saga....

The rest of it was kinda tosh i thought. The Dragon's were insanely over powered which did kinda ruin it i think. Syn/Omega Shenron was just plain silly.....a power like that in a fight would obliterate any planet without even trying.

In retrospect, I'd actually have to say that, with as many flaws as GT had, I'm happier with it rather than without it.

Reasons being (one already stated by the topic starter), that DBZ had a somewhat lousy ending. It didn't do a very good job tying up loose ends, and during that time I really wanted to know more about Uub.

The problems I had with GT were:

-Script/Dialogue: Some of the things they said were uneeded and stupid.

-Announcer: The announcer in DBZ was exciting and cool, while the one in GT was dull and not very fun to listen to.

-Fights: They were much slower than the DBZ fights and didn't have as much depth to them.

-Music: The music in DBZ was much more action-packed, but the music in GT (much like the fighting), was a lot slower and didn't seem to fit the scenes.

-Pan: As I'm sure everybody out there will agree with me, Pan was the biggest curse on the Dragon Ball world.

I know that seems like a lot, but there were some cool parts to GT. Some of which include:

-Characters: Some AWESOME characters were introduced. Dr. Myuu, Nova Shenron, Uub (introduced in DBZ, but we learn much more about him in GT), Baby, and General Rilldo were all cool.

-Baby Saga: Not only the best saga in GT, but I'd even go so far as to say that the plot of the Baby Saga matched that of the Majin Buu Saga (not, however, the Cell and Frieza sagas). There was a lot to it, and a lot of cool characters.

-Super Saiyan 4: While many Dragon Ball fans may not agree here, I think that SS4 was the perfect ending to the Super Saiyan legend. Think about it, it really did go back to their roots. The hair was black, just like normal, the Saiyans still had their classic tail (awesome feature), and they even had fur which brought out their primate features that Saiyans were known for.

So, there were pros and cons to DBGT. It just seems that to most people the cons overwhealm the pros. And, to some degree, it's true.

All-and-all, I'm glad they added GT. It had a much better ending, and I liked seeing the end clip where Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. were fighting each other. That, to me, was as classic of a scene as Goku going Super Saiyan for the first time. It showed that the rivalry that Goku and Vegeta built up in DBZ/GT didn't go to waste, and that, even their great great (insert number of "greats" here) grandchildren are continuing their ancestors ancient rivalry. I also thought it was an interesting little quirk that they didn't know what a Super Saiyan was. It gave DBZ/GT a more epic feeling, like we know the ancient story of the legendary Super Saiyan. Overall, the perfect ending to the perfect series.

The whole reason I found GT better to watch than the others is the fact that it didn't have as much action, action animes are dull.

Well thats all very well BBQ, but the story was hardly inspiring either really.

I think DBZ had a nice mixture of action and story...

That makes no sense at all. Action makes things dull? Perhaps you meant the fighting was dull? Action can't be dull...that's why it's action.

Well dude i guess i dont like it so much purely because i compared it to DB and DBZ....

I really love the original Dragonball, and Z is both my favourite anime and manga...

I really found the story of GT pretty uninspiring, and the drawings didnt look that great. Also the fact that they had completely new voices in the American dub kinda annoyed me.

I mean heck....i sat through it all, so it cant be that bad. I just really really really really prefer DB and DBZ

Goku and Vegeta like to Dance <3

If GT didn't exist, I would rest easy :D

Yes, they did seem to replicate Dragonball. But all the characters were WAY over emphasized. Goku's traits were taken overboard.
GT was much less intense then DBZ, and just as light hearted as DB, however, it does not redeem itself for lack of color and character and relationship importance.

DBZ had it all; humour, the intensity of action, romance, tragedy. The story line was incredible. I ADORED the friendships between all the characters big or small. Now, those characters are barely even mentioned. They're either old and wearing suits (I mean WTF?) or not there at all.

But that's just my opinion.

I don't think it makes much difference. I didn't like GT, but it had some nice highlights. So yeah, I wouldn't be happier if there was no GT.

Yeah, I'd rather have GT then no GT at all. I will admit to THAT, just for the sake to say the DBZ hasn't completely died yet. That will be one of the most tragic days of my life :(
