The Third sealed them within Shikifujin way back in Part I. That means it's either the Sage of the Six Paths, or Madara's actual body. We've seen him piece himself back together before. He lost limbs during Deidara's fight with Sasuke. Sasuke shot him with Amataresu, and Torune hit him with that Bug Jutsu (causing him to sever his own arm). I doubt it being either, actually. Though, Madara's actual body would be more likely. It'll be a while before it's revisited, I think. Naruto has been really good recently. It's been keeping me engaged, unlike other major Shounen manga

When he was fighting the Hokage during the Chunin exams and resurrected two deceased Hokages, he brought out another coffin and it seemed to hold the corpse of Minato. I'll have to re-read that chapter or re-watch the episode. Edit: Basically what I'm saying or suggesting/asking is if he had the body, it meant he had found a way to bring him back and use him. I don't think he would have just popped out a corpse just to say 'I have it...but I can't use it.'. Quote: In chapter 117 of the manga, when Orochimaru first performs the technique, he tries to summon a third coffin. When the coffin is not summoned, he comments on its failure. Years later, in chapter 520, Kabuto explains that Orochimaru's attempt to summon the Fourth Hokage had failed due to his soul not residing in the "pure world". In episode 69 of the anime, when Orochimaru used this jutsu, the coffin briefly appears, with "four" (四, Yon) written on it; though the summoning of the Fourth Hokage still fails. Based on Kabuto's demonstration, it would seem the actual failure would have occurred when Orochimaru performed the original preparatory ritual. I was sure I remember that. I just had to find it.

I don't think having Minato would be an instant win especialy when Madara has the tailed beasts so I'm more inclined to believe it's the sage but could go either way I suppose

I can't wait for everything to be animated that's happened in the current chapters. And to find out what occurred that left Madara so weak. I think he explained it a bit in the Manga but I'm not going to say it here in case people haven't read it.

And i've reformulated an idea on who the casket is that Madara is so afraid of. I speculate it's either one of the two: Madara's actual body Minato Namikaze Either of the two could give Madara a grand run for his money. Also I found a plot hole: Spoiler Spoiler: click to toggle The Reanimation jutsu is said to only be possible if a few conditions for the vessel exist: There must be remains, and the user must secure a dna sample to obtain the vessel The vessel can not be sealed during the jutsu's activation (as seen with the first and second hokages) With that being said, I question how Kabuto got a hold of Nagato's DNA. I say this because Madara doesn't even know where it is, and has to lose a mangekyou in order to find out from Konan. Unless Kabuto already had a dna sample??? Unless Madara really is weaker, it wont be Minato. I can agree on his actual body or the sage of six paths, but there are a few others I have reason to belive. His brother: While we arent sure if Madara was truthful when he said his brother let Madara take his eyes, if he was lieing dont You think he'd be in a rage? Plus we never saw much of him, he could have been the only person stronger than Madara. Obito(Hmmm....?) I get the strangest feeling Obito isent gone yet, he'll show up somewhere along the line. Plus there is alot of speculation that Tobi was Obito, the mask sort of signallad a missing eye, however it turned out to be Madara. But if he has had a body swap......Its if only slightly possible his original body was Obito. THough that makes no sense as Obito was generations after Madara's birth. You never know, could happen. Kushina: We saw little of her, it's plausible. Shisui: He has the most powerful Mangekyo power so far, and he was one of the highest praised Uchiha of all time. Madara in his old age and possible weakness, and Shisui with alot of power and being undead could easily frighten Madara. Plus if he cast his special technique on the moon, everyone would be mind controlled. Some unseen character: Who knows. Someone who isent what they seem: There may be more to some dead characters than is let on, that would scare Madara. I doubt Madara would be afraid of Orochimaru this is the first time Madara has seemed at all fearful, Sasuke killed(well Itachi I guess but basicaly Sasuke) Orochimaru I'm sure Madara would have no trouble And yeah Kyuubi I think you're correct I distinctly remember Sarutobi saying something like "No, not the fourth!" when Orochimaru summoned it Unless it's the Sage Of The Six Paths? And that is how alot of fish eyes look in Naruto. Still, I'll refrain from manga spoilers.

And after that he doesrnt appear again. Not even in the manga has he shown up in the present tense again. Akatsuki, well, there is none left, its just Madara, Zetsu and Kabutomaru now. Madara is out on the battlefield, Zetsu is leading his army and Kabuto is just controlling th zombies. And the war doesent start in the anime until about 2 episodes after Madara gets the rinnegan.

Going on a boat just creates stupid filler nonsense, just get to the fighting or awesome revelations Reading up about Madara's brother maybe it is him in the coffin he was powerful like Madara I can't even remember him in the anime I skipped a few episodes because they were clearly filler maybe the episode mentioning him was chucked in the middle I was mainly thinking it wouldnt be him because he's never been mentioned before but apparently he has lol I dont really want it to be him though
