I have seen this debate countless times on so many forums but notice that there is none on this particular forum, so I decided to create one and see why you believe in either nor neither one. Remember, neither side has irrefutable, objective evidence that the other side cannot defeat; even science is based slightly on faith (hence the usage of Empirical). Just because something seems right now since the beginning of time does not mean that it will be right in the future; it's possible that both Evolution and Creationism may become obsolete in the future as new, better explanations and understandings of the things around us develop. Evolution is the belief that humans evolved from an ancient species of primates, meaning that we are more closely related to chimpanzees than we are to dogs. Creationism is the belief that a supernatural being created humans the way we are now (On occasion, creationists combine their beliefs with evolution to try to satisfy both parties, but this usually results in larger arguments). This salso is not necessarily a two-sided debate; you may point out flaws in the once side's arguments and not actually be on the other side. Personally, Evolution makes perfect sense to me while creationism does not. It really isn't hard to comprehend that humans are similar to chimpanzees, especially after analyzing this subject many thousands of times.

I never commit to anything however, im always in the middle of debates such at this. Phylosphy is a keen interest of mine. Since there is no evidence to suggest that we simply didnt blink into existance a few seconds ago, its hard to prove anything at all. Naturally, phylosphy aside...im leaning toward evolution.
