Can Saiyans breathe in space?; There is evidence

Behold, the only canon thing what's-his-face has mentioned: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Bardock_in_Manga.jpg

To me, it looks like Freeza was remembering "the end", but just certain things. As you can see, he's very focused on Burdock.

And this...

If a saiyan can't breathe underwater, what makes you think they can breathe in space ? Remember when Frieza dunks Goku's head into the water, he can drown. He obviously needs oxygen to breathe. (This is just a general statement, not directed toward anyone)

I don't get the whole Frieza can breathe in space thing. There is no air or no atmosphere so what is there to breath in? Frieza probably is like part fish only different or something where it absorbs something. I'm not an expert on microorganisms breathing in space in real life so I can't really give you a great answer on this.

I may be wrong on this but: maybe Freeza doesn't need to breath. This would explain him being in the wreckage of planet Namek and still being alive.

In every one of his suppressions and his original form, he has a nose, I would suspect he needs to breathe.

When he gets tired, he gasps for air too.

I think this is one part of the show that makes no sence. All of your points make sence, but can any of them be proven? These are just, how do you say, guesses. Is there any real evidence? Do any of the Sayians state they can breate in space.

I know Frieza said Goku couldn't, but was he just bluffing?

Maybe he is like a plant. He breathes, but instead of breathing oxygen he breathes carbon dioxide. He may breathe in different gasses other than oxygen.

For someone who claims to be the most powerful being in the universe, that Freeza sure bluffs a lot ;) First the five minute thing and now this.

But I just can see him bluffing about Goku not surviving in space. He ended up blowing up the planet, but if Goku was still there what was he gonna do?

Okay this may be weird but, when you do Instant transmission do you have to breathe? I remember in the Broly movie when he does Instant Transmission and you see him going through space. So I don't know if that has anything to do it with it. I know it is just a movie ,but any thoughts on that ?

He is going so fast I doubt he even needs to breathe.

But anyways how can we just assume that they were in the atmosphere?

It works like the Transporters in Star Trek, or better yet like blinking in Charmed. You get from A -> B without the stuff in between.

Yeah

And thank you AF I was trying to think of a perfect example of IT and blinking in Charmed is basically the same thing.

When I made the post I wasn't sure if anyone would get it. I wasn't sure how many people here have actually watched it.

Super sayains cant not breath in space.. cause goku could not and he was in supersayain.. But your talking about broly and broly was a legendary supersayain and that is way different from a regular supersayain.
