They are debating about it and usually religious affairs are kept secretive because the media doesn't broadcast it. (Only if it involves little boys getting molested.) |

Okay, but can women bring life into the world without men? Didn't think so. That's like saying that a quarterback is why football teams win, because without the halfback, fullback, offensive line, and recievers... Also, your argument is funamentally wrong if you look at Genesis. Otherwise it's a solid argument that I can agree with. Even if you look at Genesis, however, you can notice gender equality. Eve was made from Adam's Rib, not his foot so he could walk on her and not his spine so she could follow him, but his rib so she can stand beside him. |

Sure; I don't see why women can't be priests.
Actually, yes. Ever heard of cloning? |

Is that independant life? Cloning comes from people who came from people... :). You need a hard copy to make a copy, and with people hard copies come from a man and a woman. |

There are already more than 70 species of animals in this world, who do not need males to reproduce. A komodo dragon female, had eggs on her own without a male, but that does not mean anything about humans. Women do need men to reproduce, and vise versa. That isn't the debate though. I believe men and women were created equal. That our strengths were meant to come together and be even better. WE have a shortage of priests, and they constantly use the excuse that women do not portray Jesus. What difference does it make, if it is a female priest representing the same values Jesus portrayed? It shouldn't make a difference, all of us are under the close watch of God, we are all his children. That is my opinion. My theology teacher said exactly what Sj3 said. She believes that the religious teachings are outdated, and they do not always include all the aspects or take everything into consideration. |

Women should be allowed to become priests or priestresses or whatever. I still believe priests and all of them should be allowed to marry as well. Don't even get me started on the whole guys do a very small part in creating a baby and the woman does everything else. |
