I'm pretty stoked right now, because my parents told me I'd be getting a Wii for Christmas, but they said I had to wait. Then, my brothers found out, so they thought it was pointless to keep us waiting and let us play it early. However, they're making me wait until Christmas for the games, so right now I'm playing with the Mii Channel, Wii Sports, and trying to get it hooked up online. Anybody else here have a Wii yet? |

It's one of the most user-friendly control systems I've ever used. It's very sensitive to movement (the Wii Remote), for instance, I was up late last night, very tired, and my hand was slightly trembling as I held the remote out. However, you could see the cursor on the screen shaking as well, I set the remote down on a flat surface and it stopped shaking. It's incredible that it was able to pick up that much motion. And basically, you just point the cursor (while on the main screen) and press A to select things. Very simple, just as the reviews have said. Any other questions? I'm more than happy to answer them as long as they don't revolve around games.

I've watched my brothers play, and the only game that's even remotely humorous to watch is the Wii Boxing game, because you really have to get into it. Otherwise, no, the games don't make you look stupid at all. At least, not in my opinion. |

My dad loved Super Mario 64, and it's the ONLY video game he's ever played and beaten. Now, he loves the Wii Sports. I doubt he'll play things like Twilight Princess, Budokai Tenkaichi 2, or Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, but Wii Sports is right up his alley. He's already told me that he's been staying up late playing that. |

I also have one. I waited in line for only two hours to get it, which isn't really bad at all when a lot of people had to wait overnight. The game that I got with it is Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. So far, it is awesome. You use the Wii Remote to slash your sword, and you also use it when shooting a rock out of your slingshot or when you are throwing your boomerang. The graphics are no where near where the XBOX 360 or PS3 are at, but are definitely better than PlayStation 2 graphics, and slightly better than normla XBOX graphics. I only have two complaints: You have to sit a little farther away when pointing your Wii Remote at your television, so if you have a small room like me it might be a little difficult. The other is that the nun-chuck attachment isn't quite as motion sensitive as the Wii Remote itself, but that isn't quite as big a deal as you won't use it as much as you will the Wii Remote for motion sensitivity. You probably will look a little silly when you are playing certain games on Wii Sports like Boxing or Golf, but if you are having fun, does it really matter? |

1) Thanks YHG, the more information I can get about Twilight Princess the better. I've waited for that game two and a half years, and I absolutely can't wait for it. ![]() 2) Absolutely not, if you're having fun, I see no reason why you should even care what other people around are doing. I have the GameCube in my room, my brother has the PlayStation 2 in his room, and the Wii sits in the family room because we have a big-screen TV there, and the room is big enough to move around in to use the Wii successfully. I've said it before and still think so: the Wii is the ultimate gaming experience. |
