Testing your lovers patience for making love is a great way to test if they love you for YOU and not for the physical aspects of the relationship.

I disagree. If a serious relationship came to the point where you have to test whether or not your significant other loves you or not, the relationship no longer is serious -- it implies you don't trust your partner.

That is why we have a divorce rate at around 40%  Think about it.

So basically, you're saying that pre-marital intercourse is so devestating to relationships that it results in divorce? Most non-serious intimate relationships never even apporach marrriage, let alone divorce.

It isn't that you don't trust the person, but in this modern world it is better to be safe than sorry (stds, surprising pregnancy, etc.) There are so many more problems that can happen with having sex before marriage then there are benefits. That is why we are overpopulated in this world because we have people who only seek it for pleasure.

Prematiral intercouse doesn't always result in divorce, HOWEVER, I can garauntee you that couples who save themselves till they are married have more successful marriages than those who decide to do it beforehand. I know many couples who wish they had waited.

I don't see what the big problem is with being absentinent till you are married. It saves you the hassle of worrying or stressing about many things. It is worth the wait if you truly love the person.

I don't necessarily believe in no sex before marriage. I just believe that it should be a special thing between two people that love each other very much and want to take it to the next step. They should both feel 110% sure that they love each other and both want it, weather that is before or after marriage.

There is no right or wrong answer to this question. Just different opinions and perspectives.
