A thing going around here is discrimination, mainly people arguing over genders. Now in the Feminism topic it's ok but to an extent, this extent has been breached and I had to warn/suspend someone. *cough Island cough* And people in the Abortion topic *coughIslandcough* have again made a snappy sexism remark. I mean really people, 1 guy now, then whats next? More people with sexism? This doesn't mean only sexism. This relates to... Religion Age Skin Color Gender Personalities (This includes calling someone EMO or Goth to insult.) Others opinions (Show respect, arguing is ok but insulting them or their opinion is not okay.) All of these are very close to as bad, except personalities which might be the lesser of the evils but is not excused. Any site of these except in very small, not really insulting ways. (I or another Mod will decide) WILL GET YOU WARNED! Descrimination over any of the above list will get you warned and/or suspended depending on the content. This includes even small remarks but are clearly labeled as the above, so even if you get warned for something short but is one of the things above there is no arguing "because it was small" this is a warning now that even if it is small it's not going to be tolerated. If you're going to get e-raged and put other people down and cause a flame war then do it somewhere else or hit the suspended list. Post comments here. If this gets out of hand I'm closing this. Enough is enough people! |

It makes me hate myself when i see a muslim person walk by and i immediately think them to be a terrorist. Does anybody else get this feeling when they see someone like this pass by? It's like my brain automatically switches to a "skeptical mode" about them. As you may or may not know, Canada has recently been found to be a haven for potential extremists in the past few months, with over 75 caught in Toronto alone. it gives me the sense of panic that something like 9/11 will happen again. i know airport security is at an all-time high, but what about else where? They could tunnel their way across the border and set up hazardous products on American soil. They were caught in a Downsville (thats in the Greater Toronto area FYI) in an apartment making mustard gasses and other toxic chemicals. It gives you an uneasy feeling, cuz you know there are more out there doing this exact same thing, just waiting to strike ya know? |

Lol like what? When they say they have bad teeth or something like that? (Which they don't, the only reason they think that is because of Austin Powers) I don't have any problem with scottish or the british. Ewan Mcgregor, woop! No problem with that. 8) |

The only stereotype of The scottish is that we all wear kilts and talk like we come from the highlands.Which we dont(I live in a town near the sea)But I've never heard the bad teeth before.Austin Powers was english-_- Another one is that all the English drink tea out of fine china and speak really posh that is a load of BS. |

Aren't the english considered British as well? Anyway, my town has a lot of scottish people in it that always play the bagpipes, but scotland is definitely cool. Especially Ewan Mcgregor, he rocks. 8) |

I love the scottish and british accents. I don't hate or sterotype either of them either. I also don't stereotype the muslims either. I do admit I have stereotyped groups before and I am trying to work on that but I love people. I am like Gohan in the cell games. I rather talk then fight but if I have to I will protect myself. Anyways I haven't been on the debate area that long. In fact I just really got into it today and I haven't noticed anything but I don't Doubt you guys at all. I have complete faith that you guys and girls will take care of anything that needs to be taken care of. |
