Chest, face...etc.) for no reason but because you want to. Spanking is stricking your child's buttocks just hard enough for then to feel enough pain to know what they did was wrong. And you seem to be blaming it all on the parent for why the kid is bad. There is a line where the child knows what is right and wrong. Sometimes he chooses to do bad things because he wants to do them even though his parents told him not to.

If a parent talks to them and helps them understand life and they still act like a brat yeah its okay to hit them. My parents are great and I've learned a lot for them and I've been hit before. not severely, but enough to set me straight.

But then my grandma tried just talking to me, and only then did I start behaving in school. Sure I still got into fights almost everyday but it was for self defense, not to harm people. And still to this day I have that inner hatred towards my grandma for hitting me when I was a child because it's just so god d@mn wrong. Hitting doesn't do *****, I know because I was one of those stubborn brats. But when talking came intstead of the spanking, I became a better kid.

It tought me to fear and think about my actions of being bad. It did keep me out of some trouble in my life, and I'm glad I was spanked. Shinobi13, how exactly is it so wrong and how does it not do anything? Yes, your right. Hitting doesn't do anything, but spanking for the cause of punishment does. It teaches the child right from wrong. In mine and other's cases anyway. And do you really deep down hate your grandma for trying to teach you right from wrong by spanking you?

I hate quiters, I really do. So yes, deep down inside me, there is alittle bit of hostility towards her for her actions. We're not freggin cavemen, any sort of violence should only be used for self defense. Yes, even spanking, though I doubt anyone spanks while defending themselves. And don't think I'd ever hit my grandma back, even though I am a Satanist and I do think Vengeance is more proper than turning the other cheek, but she's family, and I would only hurt a family member if they went over the line

That's as hard life as you can get, yes, even worse than jail. But you know what? I still stood my ground, they couldn't crack me. But from the sounds of it, you're easily cracked by authority, that makes me laugh cuz you talk like you're some hardass or something. Just for the record, I was expelled from military school within 3 months due to them not being able to break me and my stubborn spirit. And to clarify one last thing, I'm a jackass, not an asshole, there is a diff. ON TOPIC! Don't spank your kids!

I've been to boot camp for 2 months in one summer and Ive been to Juvenile for 2 weeks because of a fight. I hate authority but I listen to them because Im not an adult. But as a Canadian, I hate the U.S. It pisses me off that alot of good metal bands come from there, but I still would never want to leave Canada to downgrade my living conditions for any amount of time. Only 2 places I would visit outside of Canada, Germany and Norway!

About that rule breaker comment, itwas like that, until they put me solitary confinement or whatever it's called. They kept me in a room for days, and at 9AM, noon, and 6 PM, I kept reminded them that by law, they have to feed me then. Eventually they got so p!ssed they took my watch, so I sat and starved, and played music inside my head over and over, until they gave up and knew they couldn't break me, and so I was expelled. The look on my grandma's face was PRICELES!!

As the 8th Satanic Rule of the Earth states "Do not harm little children." I was spanked until I was 5, then I punched my grandma in the face when she tried to. Though because of that, I've grown up to be a strong person who stands their ground under any circumstances. When I have a kid(s) I'll find a way to teach them self pride in a different way than the way I learned myself. If you hit a small child for any reason, I should come to your door and hit you! I know how it is i bit my mother in the hand but it was cause of a reflex and she kinda holds that against me, OD hitting shouldnt be allowed one time i was going to get hit with an object and pushed my mother down hard that she fell on a glass table, parents should understand if you hit a child that cant take it expect a hit rightback now teach that chikd the meaning of right and wrong with alitlle spanking but not Od and we're good but then again the child is most likely do the same thing all over again which defeats the purpose.
