They don't need to marry. But they want to, they want to feel they're the same as anyone else, at least in a civic way. And they can't adopt a child, I mean, they can... but most of times (almost everytime) they are told to forget about it coz they're not a rule model for a kid. (that is so stupid, I believe they just forget there are kids adopted by a drugged man and a drunk woman) And well, you can't really tell there is a God, and that He created man and woman... But that is another story... And yes, having sex with someone that has the same body as you isn't the natural thing. But feeling love is just as natural as lunching everyday. You can disagree, but you can't think they can be ignored because of being unnatural. They are out there, homosexual people exist. That's why I don't like to get into any religion, they are too complicated. |

Taking away a beautiful thing like marriage just cause two people of the same gender love eachother is pointless thats why they should be able to.The government is too homophobic to want to let them |

You have to think about the benefits in the long run. There are no benefits that come out of letting people of the same gender get married. Trust me. They had a special about homosexual people on lifetime channel and even a homosexual woman said that a lot of homosexual people are being selfish about this marriage thing. Look as long as they get the same benefits as a marriage couple, who cares about anything else. They are trying to create this into a civil rights movement, when they aren't being discriminated against. Also a lot of doctors say that being homosexual is a decision. It is beyond me how a man full of testosteroine genetically can fall for another man or a woman fall for another woman. I know love is more than physical and genetics, etc. but just remember if we all decided to turn homosexual there would be no continuation of our species. So is it really natural? |

I'm not a doctor, I can't really tell how this happens. But I know for sure it does. And we can't all 'decide' to turn homosexuals. In fact, I've heard that there is only one homosexual in 50 persons. So there's no big worry about our continuation. I believe the big deal is to accept homosexual people and respect them, and do not discriminate them in our society and our day life. They want to marry, they just want to be like anyone else, they want their civic rights as social human beings, and they deserve that. I think it will be really hard for a lot of people, and maybe we are not prepared for this. But they'll sure keep fighting for a marriage, and we'll have to deal it somehow. That's why I believe we gotta start doing something. And really, if they feel love, they're just as natural as you and me. |

I agree 100% with you there pineapple. Personally I will never love a man.But if you want to go ahead. A few weeks ago in school I told a guy I didn't like him.I wont say the words but it had nothing involving being a homosexual. and hour later I was hauled into the headmasters office and acused of call the boy G@y.The guy insulted me so I insulted back.Natural instinct.I was given a punishment exercise to do by the next day for cheek, lies and homophobia.I'm like WTF!!!!! I did nothing wrong. All I did was defend my honour(I didn't know till later that the guy was really g@y but hey.i didn't know) all that was to show that people like to avoid anything by pretending to like Homosexuals when they're not comfortable around them. |

Most religions don't accept homosexual marriage. Marriage is a sacrament in most religions, so that is out of the question. What is so wrong with getting marriage benefits ? That is what homosexual people want right? It isn't like they are being discriminated against at all! It isn't like we are telling them that they can't vote, can't work, can't earn a salary, etc. They are treating it like a black civil rights movement, or a women's movement. Black people and women were discriminated in United States because they didn't have the basic freedoms that everyone else had, that is why they earned what they got , because all they wanted was freedom and equality (which they got.) Homosexual people aren't shunned from society, etc. they have all the equality they can get, they have all the personal freedoms our ancestors could only dream of. I mean seriously, I'm surprised a lot of people aren't angry with that. Yes homosexual people deserve to get marriage benefits, but no they don't need to get married. If it is such a big deal, they can just go to Canada or Spain to get married. As long as they get benefits from their relationship, that is all they should really be worried about. Like I said, we have FAR more important things to worry about then deciding whether or not a minority should be able get married. There are starving children in the world, war, terrorism, etc. |

homosexual people are discriminated everyday, in the littlest and biggest things. You can't even imagine how it feels like to live an entire life like that. Saying they don't need to get married is also a way of discriminating them. No one needs to get married, people just want it cause it is a beautiful act of union. It's too ironic that some religions don't accept it, and their biggest members are homosexual or sick pervs that moleste children and women. And yes, we do have a lot of biggest issues to take care of, but it doesn't mean we can forget about this deal. It's just too easy for you to say a lot of logical reasons of why they dont need to marry. It's a lot more complicated to get they're human beings like you, that at some point want to marry the person they love, and they are just told they can't because they're not natural. |

Religion teaches moral values, just because there are some rotten apples here and there doesn't mean you can point it out as a whole. homosexual people do not get discriminated as far as getting jobs, etc. I mean why do you think Bill Clinton made the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy? It wasn't for his health. homosexual people don't need to go around telling everyone "HEY I'M homosexual AND PROUD..RAINBOW!" it's not like straight people go around and say "HEY I'M STRAIGHT AND PROUD!" There is no need to know what your sexual preference is. Not to mention, since being homosexual really isn't a natural thing, I mean there are people in this world who get uncomfortable being around one. So you can't have that in work places, military, etc. Yeah marriage is a union between two people, however, this country runs itself on religion. Heck most of our amendments are from the 10 commandments. As far as I'm concerned, this country has many religious people and allowing homosexual peopel to get married would create big arguments and that s something we don't need right now. They should be given marriage benefits, of course...but being able to married, I already explained myself. |

There's a quote about apples. Put one rotton apple in a basket filled with ripe apples and they all go bad. I believe that will happen to this country if we continue to let all this crap happen. I mean, really, our country's falling into the most unreligious Hell hole ever. I don't believe what you said was true there on the second part. I believe you could say we were based around a religion once upon a time, but that's pretty much well and gone. Freedom of religion has given people the choice not to go to church(es) on Sunday and to disobey the sabath. It's all just terrible. |

its not that I'm anti-homosexual, i just hate them. Their voice, their style, their walk, their little strut-your-stuff attitude. Ok, question for the ladies, do u have any homosexual friends? If so, are they more lady-like than you? |

I mean, not going to Church on a Sunday isn't the worst thing in the world. However, I do see what you are saying. I'm religious myself, but I don't go to church every Sunday. Private prayers at homes are enough as long as a family teaches their children principles about God that is all that really matters. Anyway back to the topic. I think that there are more negatives to allowing homosexual people to get married, then positives. Everyone who has said that homosexuals should be allowed to marry only say "because it is the right thing to do, who is to stop love" No one is stopping love, but we are preventing other negative situations from happening. As far as I'm concerned, we open the doors to them we open the doors to other groups as well. You say "no that won't happen" yes it CAN happen. You say what is wrong with two men getting married or two women getting married, then who is to say getting married with a pet is wrong? I mean your in love. That is all that matters, is love. It doesn't matter if the person your in love with is the same gender as you or walks on 4 legs, it is amore. Who is to stop someone from getting married with 20 people and those 20 people getting married with another 20 people, as long as they are in love, that is all that matters. Think about it. |
