Grade A Loser

Both were on a fiery planet

Anakin and freiza both get chopped to a few pieces

Both get destroyed in the end but not to complete death anakin gets burned and freiza gets blasted

Both still have greater hate even after defeat

Both have good guy versus bad

Both have father (King Cold) or fatherly figures (emperor palpatine)put them back together to fight another day.

It seems that maybe George Lucas got some ideas from dbz since it is older than episode III? I can think of more similiaries and I am sure you guys can, so do you think George Lucas got a lot of ideas for the episode III ending from the freiza saga and the trunks saga?

Okay I am a Star Wars fanatic, and I can honestly say, no they didn't Lol why are we even mixing Star Wars with Dragonball Z, that just a bad combination in itself. :/ Anyway, yeah that was kinda a weird question. I mean Planet Namek blows up, but Planet Mustafer well it doesn't blow up, it was naturally a lava planet. Also I mean Obi wan Kenobi and Anakin/Darth Vader were best/brotherly friends, Frieza and Goku were like vital enemies. So........yeah kinda odd. :| Also Anakin's story was written at the same time as the original Trilogy. It was just never implied in the 4th, 5th, 6th movies, so he always had a background, it was just never explored till the new trilogy. George Lucas wanted to show everyone, why Darth Vader was the way he was, to make Star wars more understandable and complete. So actually Anakin's story was written before DBZ came out.

Darth Vader hated himself and hated Palpatine while Frieza hated Goku and everything else.

Darth Vader wasn't really evil, he was just a victim. Frieza has no love for anything, while Darth Vader loved Padme, etc.

Anakin didn't consider Palpatine a father figure, he considered him a Mentor and a friend. Anakin thought of Obi wan as more of a father figure.

-But you know it is good to be open minded. I could see maybe somethings, but I mean there aren't many.

u know he might be right cuz george lucus did write episode 3 before he wrote episode 4,5,6, and so he wrote episode 3 in the 70's so mabe funimation got to it. or something i know it sounds werid and all but who knows mabe im wrog but im just saying. cuz there both figthing on a firey planet the villan gets chopped in half then the winner thinks he is dead then the villan comes back. so hahaha i don't know what to belive. i might be wrong though.

George Lucas had already written the Anakin story, just not all the scripts and everything like that. He had the Anakin story down, he just didn't make the movies till later. Star Wars Episode 3 is the continuation of Anakin's story. So Star Wars was out before Dragonball Z that's why I think it's highly doubtful that George Lucas got the ideas from Dragonball Z. However, I do see sorta, some of the similarities, but not truly lol.
