The bee problem

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Do you think we should be doing something a lot more proactive about the issue?

Bees are doing a bit better of late but the population has still declined massively and it's by no means fixed or won't necessarily ever will be. I feel like we should be working on more hardcore solutions now.

There's a lot of dumb doomsday talk about how "If the bees die we'll only last four years without them" which is absolutely not true but still if they did happen to die out so many plants and flowers would die and this would obviously have an affect on the environment of most of the world, so it's still a very serious issue.

Should we not be trying to make genetically engineered bees or propagating a species that could take over? Many insects pollinate plants but none are quite so efficient and widespread as the honey bee.

Nature might have something to take their place but when we have the power to ensure survival I don't feel like we should just hope for the best there.

Thoughts?

I support this statement.

I wonder if there's a way we could kinda pacify them? That way people wouldn't have to destroy their nests, they pollinate plants too but I'd imagine people killing them all the time stops them being able to help as much.

Docile wasps would be dandy.
