Deleted endings that might've worked better

Sometimes in movies, many endings will be made but only one will be chosen for the final cut. This can be due to many reasons, though that's not what the thread's about. It's about endings that didn't make the cut and were instead relegated to be lost forever, kept as storyboards or be part of some special features for the movie in question. When fans of these movies get ahold of these special features and watch these deleted endings, sometimes they wonder why they didn't use these endings instead.

For example, this alternate ending for The Lion King, which I honestly don't prefer over what we got but is still pretty neat.

One of my favourite crossover movies, Freddy VS Jason, had a few alternate endings, two of which are badass and have both Freddy and Jason duking it out in Hell, but the other alternate ending doesn't feature both, but just Freddy, who has either possessed one of the main characters' bodies or has revealed to the audience that he's not dead. In many ways I prefer the original ending because it features both baddies, still alive, plus Freddy winking at the camera before the credits roll is a nice touch. But I can't help but like the other alternate ending because it doesn't feature Jason, and considering the last we see of him is him sinking to the depths of Crystal Lake as he slowly closes his eyes, I'd like to interpret the fact that Freddy returned for revenge but Jason didn't as a sign that Jason is finally at peace.

Granted... It wouldn't make sense in any way, and it's not a good way for the character to go down at all, but still, Jason deserves a break.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.
