![]() Scenario: After a hard-fought victory over Yami Yugi, Kaiba advances to the Finals of his own tournament, equipped with not only Obelisk the Tormentor, but Slifer the Sky Dragon as well. Disappointed that the groundwork he'd laid out to torture the Pharaoh is now nigh-useless, Yami Marik preemptively steals Mokuba's soul, deciding to use him as a means to inflict grievous mental damage upon the rich playboy. Kaiba, upon recalculating his chances of defeating Marik with 2 Egyptian God cards, is pleased to see his victory stands at 50%. Who wins the Battle City Finals? Restrictions: - Both are IC (i.e. Marik will torture Kaiba, Kaiba is arrogant) - Marik's Millenium Rod is still 'loyal' to Kaiba (how this would affect the duel is up to you) - Kaiba is taken by surprise by Mokuba's presence in the Shadow Game (i.e. He's affected by the torture) Edited by Vance, Jun 28 2018, 05:43 PM.

Kaiba is winning this, he's just a much better duelist. |

Hmm, I'd say Kaiba wins. His deck is better, way better. Marik is still a fearsome foe, but he almost lost against Joey and wins much of his battles with luck. So yeah, I'm going with Kaiba. Two gods cards and he probably has a deck built around them. |

I normally side with Kaiba in many of these versus situations, but the Mokuba thing makes this a near impossibility for him to win. When Pegasus threatened to use Mokuba as his proxy in their duel with Kaiba, Kaiba backed down. He will not fight his own brother. If Marik uses Mokuba as a means to make Kaiba think he's fighting or hurting his brother (similar to how he fought Atem), Marik will win due to Kaiba forfeiting or throwing the duel. The only way Kaiba can win this is if he somehow gains enough control over the Millennium Rod to disable any Shadow Game shenanigans, but I have no idea if that's possible here. In a straight fight, with two Egyptian Gods, I think Kaiba could win. But unfortunately, this isn't a straight fight. |
