The music was better, the fights were better and the story was better. having said that, I felt it dragged a little bit. I tended to zone out during dramatic moments too. I just want to see Cage kicking a** to Wu Tang. I don't care about his feelings.

This one is sort of in between, maintaining a steady quality throughout, so it's not great but it's not bad. I liked this season more overall just because of how stupid the back end of the last season was, but I feel like more could have been done with Bushmaster.

Fire fox Favourite Manga Gantz	I was really happy with this season. Spoiler: click to toggle I feel like they did a good job with Bushmaster. He was a powerful villain with a drive that characters on the good side did not totally disagree with (dethroning/killing Maraiah ~~Dillard~~ Stokes). Luke also went though an interesting transformation from the beginning to the end of the season. He starts off a relatively small time player doing is part to reduce crime but somehow ends up being a "crime boss". I'm interested to she how season 3 pans out. I'm expecting that he'll get into a fight with a friend(s) (e.g., Misty and/or Danny) and that will open his eyes to the position he has now taken in society. I find myself reminded of a Batman quote "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" - The Joker (I think that's close). Edited by Green, Jun 28 2018, 09:13 PM.

I take it the theme this time around is hubris, sure seems like it with how half the characters act. If you're not mindful of the view on top you'll always come crashing down one way or another. Spoiler: click to toggle Bushmaster is pretty cool, so much more compelling than Diamondback. He's arrogant but not stupid, I like how he let his goons fight Luke to test the waters and left Luke thinking he was just some dude with no power, that was pretty cool. And then that beat down, s* dawg. I can see it happening this season but if not it'd be cool if Luke trained with Danny, he's definitely too full of himself. Which I think is kinda dumb considering this is a world where the Avengers exist, you can't just assume nobody with superpowers is out there ready to kick your a. Up your game boyyy.

I love Mahershala Ali, the actor who plays Cottonmouth, he was excellent. The rest of the cast was good too and the story was very good. Season 2 was far from bad, but I got sick of Black Mariah in the end; I don't rate Alfre Woodard that highly.

Not done yet but gonna assume she gets her just desserts. I hope Shades doesn't die though he's cool...if a little weird.

And this may just be me, but the use of the N word so flippantly was a little off-putting. There's a whole thing with how she is so against her cousin's crime business and the way they use that word, they call it some sort of character development when she so comfortably goes into that role and in the end use the n word so casually.

I feel that it was used very purposefully and it was effective.
