Who takes this tag team match? No Shin Kikoho which would tip the odds in the favor of the humans obviously.

I have these numbers:
Tien: 6 000 000
Yamcha: 3 500 000

Trunks Saga Vegeta: 3 400 000
Piccolo: 1/2 000 000

So humans still Win according to me.

Reasons for having the humans in the millions:

1) Piccolo suggested that you should not show up if you are not strong enough, but they still showed up. Tien and Yamcha knew the androids were stronger than Frieza, so I like to have them around final Form Frieza or stronger
2) Tien dodged Gero’s eye beams as easily as base Goku did, despite being at similar distance from the Android. So I have him around Goku base
3) Gero considered the humans a valuable addition to make up for the gap between him and SSJ Vegeta.

There may be more proofs but for now I just remember these

The humans absolutely have to be minimum Trunks Saga Vegeta and Piccolo's level 3 years later to stay relevant.

Tenshinhan/Yamcha have handily overtaken Vegeta/Piccolo by this point. No Kikoho needed.

Trunks arc

Yamcha = 250,000
Tenshinah = 270,000
Piccolo = 2,500,000
Vegeta = 3,000,000

Androids saga

Yamcha = 2,500,000
Tenshinhan = 2,700,000

The humans could win... but probably not. Not only is Vegeta stronger, he has saiyan instinct for battle and Piccolo has regeneration and his own warrior namekian instinct for battle which is innate to them both, rather than trained for by the humans.

The humans lose, but they put up a fight and likely kill at least one enemy. Krillin is stronger than Vegeta (or nearly equal to). Tenshinhan and Yamcha are weaker than Piccolo, but Tenshinhan isn't miles behind.

Tenshinhan = showed up because he wanted to die a warrior's death, or see the androids be defeated, whatever.
Krillin = showed up because he wanted to offer support, literally says he has no confidence.
Yamcha = didn't believe Trunks.

Not seeing where the humans NEED to be X strong. All we know for sure is that Chaozu was so pathetically weak that he wouldn't have even made an acceptable distraction.

Tien and Yamcha at this point would be around the likes of Piccolo during the Frieza Arc. I think they get stomped in this fight.

Have to agree with the humans winning this battle. They would have needed to at least be in the millions for absorption of their power to be considered since anything lower is a mere speck of what Gero is looking for at the time. We have precious little else to go on but Tien did avoid Gero's eye lasers in unison with Base Goku, as mentioned by Total Warrior. In order to achieve that kind of reflexive acuity that you're moving in tandem with Goku, you would likely need to be fairly close in power.

It would be Tien carrying the lion's share of this effort but the humans can win, in my opinion.

Honestly; I have either Yamcha or Tien being able to solo this at this point. I've got both making huge jumps (along with all of the other characters) post time skip. They were the only two unknowns (power wise) pre time ship and we also the only two to even be explicitly given a rough power estimate prior to the fight (as Goku, Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin are flying over; one of the four explicitly refers to them as big powers). At this point; it's hard to imagine they (bare minimum) aren't at least moderately above base Post-Yardrat Goku.

I don't think Yamcha and Tenshinhan being referred to as huge battle powers really means that much. Plenty of times that expression has been used, for both weaker and stronger fighters.

Both piccolo and trunks should be very well above 2 000 000 at this point.

Tenshinhan and yamcha on the other hand i doubt they even reach 1000 000

I can't vouch for Yamcha but Tien did have the environmental conditions coupled with certain minor feats from the Android arc to imply that he strengthened himself enough to reach the low millions at a minimum. Dare I say he could have been within shooting distance of Base Goku from early on in the Android arc.

If it's interpreted that Tien's gains would have been negligible due to working in the earthen wilderness then we need to also be seriously reevalutating Vegeta and Piccolo's gains from the intermediary period between Namek's destruction and Freeza's arrival on Earth because they both engaged in similar regimens out in the wild.

Yamcha is useless in this fight, I'll get this out of the way.

Tien is the interesting one, because I'm really having trouble where to put him. I have him in the Android arc strong enough to beat Namek saga Piccolo, but he could also be just strong enough to beat Final Form Frieza. He just needs to be below the base saiyans in the android arc.

However, I believe that Piccolo & Vegeta win. Even if Tien outclassed them, Piccolo could try to close the gap with his special beam cannon, replicating the same thing he did against Raditz.

Tien without Tri Beam is as good as Yamcha. Basically humans screwed!

I'd understand if it was at least Boo Arc Tien. He'd obviously carry the fight on his own with After Image, Solar Flare, Kamehameha whatnot. But Piccolo + Veggie is too much

Even Frieza Arc Veggie or Piccolo could solo
