Halloween (2018)

Watch the teaser if you want, but I wouldn't recommend it. Personally, this is the kind of movie that I don't want to get spoiled about in any way.

40 years have passed, not only since the first Halloween movie but in-universe as well. Carpenter is back to make sure they make this movie right, Jamie Lee Curtis is back to play one of the best heroines in any horror series, and the original Michael Myers, Nick Castle, is back to play the iconic serial killer. I'm very interested to see what they do with this.

Halloween (2018) is scheduled to be released theatrically on October 19, 2018. I only wish they had just ANY subtitle for this movie, it's like movies these days are afraid of numbers or subtitles... But I'll let it slide because this is undoubtedly going to be a more worthy continuation than the other recent movie named Halloween by Rob Zombie... We don't talk about that, or what followed.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Carpenter will be in charge of the score too, so we're guaranteed to at least have good music.

I'm optimistic about the movie. Michael Myers seems to be back on track as a character, without pointless backstory garbage, and the peculiar choice of a director shows that, despite sticking to the franchise's roots (which is good), they might also be willing to take some chances (which is also good). I'm glad they didn't go with a trendy horror director.

The trailer doesn't do too much for me but I like the premise of it, Laurie looks pretty badass and she's sure to kick plenty a**.
I like how Michael seems to give no f***s at all this time, doing stuff in the day quite openly.

I just hope it builds tension properly, please no gore porn s***. The Rob Zombie movies were traumatic.
Not because they were gory but because they were complete s***.
I also hope Laurie wins this one instead of some generic sacrifice for her family, it'd be cool if she won and could relax, that would be different.

Only thing that bothers me is...why hasn't Michael just been put to death? Not very believable.

I highly doubt this is going to be bad (or even mid to late Halloween sequels kind of meh), with Carpenter in there for support.

Well, it's a teaser, but... For a teaser that's just waaay too much in just a few seconds.

Here's hoping this is the series' final installment, Michael needs to be put to rest once and for all.

I actually liked the second Halloween so I don't mind more movies as long as they're good and carpenter is involved. I don't want 5 or 6 more movies though

It's more of a case that they've done all they could with Michael, who is in his 60s or 70s in this movie, btw. He's likely not as big a threat as he used to be.

I'd rather let the franchise end on a good note, that being this movie. Everything needs closure.

Full traler:

Not gonna lie, for a movie like this, generic trailer editing is the least I want, but eh.

I wouldn't recommend watching this either.

Flashy Thing!

I was surprised to see this movie trending on YouTube yesterday. It definitely looks like its sticking to its roots and using original actors is always a plus. I agree with Darker though and believe that things eventually need to come to an end. I would actually be happier with a reboot than a continuation of the series.
