You can watch the full live stream where they announced the new game coming:

Here is the Trailer:

What are your thoughts on where this game will take place? It has always been a highlight of Fallout games to host different areas as the location. The song in the video is playing the song John Denver - Take Me Home, Country Roads, but a remix of it. Some speculate that the song hints at the location due to it being about West Virginia. We'll see.

Here's the Kotaku article that talks about things in detail direct from Bethesda.

Cool that a new Fallout game is coming out, but man I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that there's no TES6. Kind of lending to theory that TES Online is just kind of going to be TES6 for the foreseeable future.

Unless I’m misremembering, didn’t fallout 4 come out in 2015?

And 76 most likely cause of Vault 76, which was essential a “control group” that were referenced in both fallout 3 and 4. Basically, their vault was meant to be opened simply 20 years after the nukes hit

I'm not a fan of 3 or 4 but this one is apparently taking the series in a "new direction" or wathever. Here's hoping it's tonally closer to the first two and New Vegas.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I love Fallout but I am very sceptical.

If it's to be an online thing it will no doubt be filled with bulls*** micro-transactions, considering the Creation Club, Bethesda clearly is interested in monetization methods.

If it adds a lot to the Fallout world and is a fun game I won't be bothered.

It is an interesting idea but not if it's some s***ty PVP thing where everyone just murders each other mindlessly like Rust.
I want an intense experience with some co-op, it'd be cool if it was something in the way of an MMO but with an overall story that progresses instead of each player doing their own story.
That would be cool.

This is just 20 years after the apocalypse so the world should be an absolute nightmare, I hope it's not all fun and colourful like Fallout 4 was, it needs to be horrible.
Most of the games are set like 200 years after the apocalypse so there's a lot of potential for a very different game here.

I just hope their scope isn't limited to being like the others.

As for it being too soon, pretty sure New Vegas came out like 2 years after 3, it fits with the pattern of doing a main series Fallout and then a spin-off.

Also the puppet in the live stream...

Look up the story of Vault 77. Hope that's featured in the game...

The bombs might not have fallen on the UK. That's not part of the story, so probably not.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I'm pretty sure that so far as we know everywhere was destroyed but America is the only place that was so obsessed with war, Vaults and all that so a lot more people survived.

I'd imagine there's pockets of civilization all over but probably nothing big or advanced without the help of Vaults.

I think the main issue with a UK one is suddenly establishing a whole new range of mutated creatures, there couldn't reasonably be any Deathclaws about and there's nothing here that would really qualify as the big bad. Mutated zoo animals maybe?
Suicide nuclear pigeons.
Seagulls with laser eyes.

I suppose if this is an online thing and it's successful there'd be potential for some maps based in other places. I'd be down for it provided they actually add to canon lore rather than "Just because"
