I was just thinking about how every film based on true events always has at least a few errors and anachronisms. Nothing is perfect and that's fine. But which ones are your favourites? Braveheart has about a million but my personal favourite is when they are supposed to stage what was this incredible ambush on the English army at Sterling Bridge. Except in the film, there is no ambush and no bridge. From what I recall of the fim's depiction, it's just two armies charging at each other. No tactics, just smash into each other and see who comes out on top. Since it's still part of the same scene lets note that kilts weren't invented yet, the Scots wore mail just like the English did. I don't believe they painted their faces either. And am I correct that we see William Wallace using a claymore? Yeah those weren't invented yet. He would have fought on horseback with the rest of the nobles. Speaking of horses, wrong breed shown in the film. The Arabian horse was brought over to Europe in the 11th century but widespread breeding did not occur until after the Ottoman invasion in the 18th century. |

I can't think of a specific example but music is always a funny one. I think in Stand By Me a song they all listen to doesn't even exist when the film is set. Like really how do you do that? Just a simple internet search will show you when it was released(though fair enough that particular movie is old) People be listening to that future music. |

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |
